3.0 out of 5 stars Awkward Size, December 1, 2006
This review is from: Llewellyn's 2007 Witches' Calendar (Annuals - Witches' Calendar) (Calendar)
The calendar was great until it was changed from the normal 12 x 9 size to a larger 12 x 12. Now, with the extra three inches, the calendar is so heavy that the holes tear through and have to be reinforced with tape. The calendar was fine the way it was, so why change something just for the sake of change?

Also, over the years, the calendar has gradually changed from a strictly pagan calendar and now includes Christianity, Judaism, et cetera. I liked the graphics much better when they pertained only to witchcraft-or the way we imagine witchcraft. With each year, the graphics are less interesting than they were the year before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Annuals from Llewellyn a girl's good friend, August 28, 2006
This review is from: Llewellyn's 2007 Witches' Calendar (Annuals - Witches' Calendar) (Calendar)
Like all the publications from LLewellyn the 2007 Witches' Calendar is filled with colorful graphics and well written words of wisdom. The interesting folklore appeals to anyone interested in the craft, natural remedies, the phases of the moon and keeping track of Mother Earth's yearlong orbit. The easy to understand symbols make it clear the best days to plant, cultivate, harvest and fish. Its almanac qualities and colors of the day, along with the moons position through the zodiac phases can aid in a persons plans to begin, continue or refrain from a new project.

Also from LLewellyn is the ideal companion 2007 Witches' Datebook. This handy volume is great for booking appointments, tracking mileage and other expenses. This easy spiral bound date book lays flat for convenient jotting and folding open to the current week. An added bonus of recipes scattered throughout helps the 21st century woman, who must bring home the bacon and fry it up in the pan, have it all.

I get one every year, but the fact that it is larger and heaver is now a bother. I am not interested in the other religions; wish they would stick to Wicca/Paganism. All that aside, I love the calendar. Wouldn't start the year without it.
