This book is one of the best beginner books to Astrology I have read. I began my study of Astrology with Tetrabilios by Ptolomy and got lost as you can imagine. After having read this book, it is much more clear and I am better able to both read and understand Ptolomy. The only thing I would have liked would have been more of a comparison of the different house systems, though I appriciate the author at least naming a few. I am now off to learn more about the different house systems and would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in Astrology.

If you are interested in Astrology; want to get beyond reading the news paper every day, this is your first step. Ms. Riske has written a manual that will not only get you started, but one that you will refer to over and over again. If, like me, you get hooked on this amazing subject and need more, this book will be the foundation of your library. My copy is tabulated and "dog eared" from constant use.
