I like to save my calendars almost as a type of special journal, especially as so many different types of events get recorded on them. Rarely have I repeated a type of calendar subject as there are so many things I like, but the Witches' Calendar 2001 worked so well for me that I just had to go with the 2002 edition for the coming year. This calendar covers the sabbaths and esbats of Wicca, along with the eight major pagan holidays, astrological transits, relevant Wiccan celebrations, birthdays, handfastings, foundings and much more. Each year also incorporates a selection of articles on related subjects, with this year's topics including the three-fold law, Harry Potter, working with dreams, symbology of the pentagram, legal rights of pagans, solitary witches, masks, magickal names, the spiritual role of teacher, herbalism, serving ritual-specific foods, and participation at public rituals. Overall, a great reference and fun calendar for Pagans or Wiccans.

Must have it every year!,

I have purchased this item for at least 4 years, and I find it indispensable. It's very informative, accurate, beautifully illustrated. The moon phases and the planting/harvesting are extremely helpful, and the information about sabats, rituals, and historical lore is always interesting.I do recommend it to all my friends, and it makes a great gift, too! Sincerely, SnowyOwl

A Work of Art,

This review is from: Llewellyn's Witches' Calendar 2002 (Calendar)
It is my third year now, owning the Llewellyn Witches' Calendar. The new one is underneath the old, it was hard not to peek at the new one before it is time. They call it the "Wiccan Wheel of the Year." Not your average "calendar at a glance," this calendar is beautiful and filled with hours of wiccan lore. You'll find warm and gorgeous glossy artwork, and hundreds of tips and hints to get you spiritually inspired to learn more. {We all need that, and references are included in the back.) Learn the origins of 12 days of Christmas, Easter Eggs, and Halloween. When the year is done, you're not done with the calendar! Each year features different customs and festivals, and several articles follow at the back of the calendar. This year learn about the witches' law, book of dreams, and is Harry Potter really magic? Llewellyn's Witches' Calendar is something you'll want to make a yearly tradition.
