My all time favorite CD!,
By
This review is from: Lloyd Cole (Audio CD)
This is the best CD I have ever purchased. Lloyd Cole is like a Scottish (but born in England, but raised and lives in Scotland) Lou Reed. Incredibly dark. This is Lloyd Cole's first solo work after leaving The Commotions. The biggest single on this CD was Downtown which was also on the Bad Influence soundtrack. If you have heard that song and liked it, you will love the rest of the CD. Lloyd Cole has a new band now, The Negatives! If you you're a fan check it out. Imposible Girl is a very typical Lloyd Cole song. And if you are looking for even more Lloyd Cole, check out the CD I'm You're Fan. It's a tribute to Leonard Cohen with Lloyd Cole performing Chelsea Hotel. It's an incredible cover.

Get It While You Can,
By Thomas Ruttan (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lloyd Cole (Audio CD)
This is Lloyd Cole's best album. It's one of the best albums by anyone. Lord knows it's better than at least 99% of the crap you probobly already own. If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you.
This purchase is a no-brainer.

Haunting and moody,
By Michael Erisman (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lloyd Cole (Audio CD)
My brother Andrew, who played the song "Long Way Down" for me, turned me on to this CD back in the early 1990's. I was hooked. This is simply a great CD, from the opening track through the end; the songs are hauntingly moody and smooth. This is one of those rare CD's that takes me back immediately to the place and time when I first heard the songs. Rainy Seattle fall days and nights, with my then girlfriend Michelle. In fact, so strong is the mood here that when we broke up, I couldn't listen to the music anymore. After marrying her 10 years later, I bought the CD again and still love it, and it still takes me back just as strongly. Start some memories of your own, and enjoy this wonderful musical trip. Highly recommended!
