5.0 out of 5 stars Mexican Straits, August 1, 2004

This review is from: Lo Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
Elefante has their own sound, but the best comparison would be Dire Straits on tequila;, a smooth rock & roll sound that moves right along, not necessarily danceable but will definitely get your head bobbing. Acoustic and electric guitars with a strong rhythm, the singer's voice is very good, smooth and strong, not rushing the wonderful Spanish words with the rolling rrrr's, paced and with feeling, even if you don't understand Spanish you will enjoy the sound of the words. A couple of slower songs that are also good, but most are well paced and very enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars They do know what they are looking for!!!, February 7, 2003
This review is from: Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
If you liked 'El Que Busca Encuentra' you'll love 'Lo Que Andamos Buscando'.... For Elefante it was going to be very dificult to come out with an album that could fight back hits like 'Asi Es La Vida', 'La Que Se Fue' or 'De La Noche A La Manana' but with their first single 'El Abandonao' I could realized that they were back with the same force: great music, great lyrics perfect combination. Elefante's music should not be for Mexico only; Elefante has to go out to Latin America, USA, and even Europe. They have alot to say and I know there's many people out there that will enjoy listening to them.

By the way listen to 'Lo Que Andamos Buscando' beautiful song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best band ever!!!, December 2, 2004
This review is from: Lo Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
ELEFANTE IS THE BEST!!! THEY'VE BEEN MY FAVORITE EVER SINCE THEY STARTED TO BECOME POPULAR WITH THEIR FIRST HIT "DE LA NOCHE A LA MAÑANA" AND LATER "ASI ES LA VIDA"... THEY BECAME ONE OF THE FAVORITES IN ALL MEXICO AND LATIN AMERICA... IN MY OPINION THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME.. I BOUGHT IT TWO YEARS AGO ALMOST WHEN BARELY RELEASED.. AND I STILL LISTEN TO IT OFTEN.. AND NEVER GET TIRED OF IT.... IT'S MY FAVORITE CD EVER.... TOO BAD THE VOCALIST "REYLI" SEPARATED AND STARTED HIS OWN CAREER AS SINGLE VOCALIST GIVING AN END TO ELEFANTE...

5.0 out of 5 stars This is worth buying, February 11, 2003
This review is from: Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
I'm a fanatic of Spanish Rock or well known in Mexico "Rock en Español", of course Elefante is more soft acustic than most rock but of course the best in it's class. Very few artist are able to meet or even surpase the success of the first cd especially when it was a sucess, Elefante by the way did..... If you like quality music, lyrics and most of all a group with class I highly recommend this cd not only are the lyrics a well as the first cd, but the music itself is beautiful and like myself the more you hear the more you come to love it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, July 24, 2004
This review is from: Lo Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
I bought this album for the sole purpose of having the theme song to Ladron de Corazones but I soon fell in love with the whole album. Even if you don't understand Spanish or if like me, you only understand bits and pieces, the sounds and style of this album make it an enjoyable experience to listen to (are we allowed to end sentences with prepositions on-line? ;-). Thank goodness it's not an old reel tape or I would have worn it out already.

4.0 out of 5 stars On the way to a cup of coffee in Baja, January 1, 2003

This review is from: Que Andabamos Buscando (Audio CD)
I was on my way for an early cup of coffee at Rancho Leonero Resort on the East Cape of Baja, Christmas Day. . . greeted my favorite bartender Jorge, "Feliz Navidad", and heard this music on the bar CD . . . I listened for about 15 seconds and knew Elefante was my new World Music group favorite. If you like Mana, Knofpler-like guitar, listen to this CD. This music is also a way of improving your Spanish! We loved it in the car for over 1000 miles.
