These bags are very strong and well-made. However, I was confused by the dimensions: I initially ordered the 21x36 bag but I had to return it and order this larger one. As the bag is more or less round when packed with soft items like clothes, I had assumed that 21" on the 21x36 was the diameter. In fact, 21" is the width when the bag is folded flat (i.e., half the circumference); so the true diameter of the 21x36 is only about 14.5" (or 0.7 times the stated width); or, if the back is packed with something square, each of the four sides measures half the stated width (i.e., 10.5" for the 21x36). The so-called 30" width bag has a true diameter of 21" (which is what I wanted in the first place), or a square-side width of 15".

I purchased this bag so that I could make an exercise sandbag. After nearly a year of repeated dragging, dropping, slamming, and throwing (containing 150 pounds of sand) it's still usable. Granted, all of the handles were torn off very early on, but the main "shell" of the bag has held up very well considering the abuse it's taken. This is an EXCELLENT bag.

I store a 10X14 family tent, ground cloth, tent poles, 20X20 tarp, & tarp poles in this bag. Very thick material. Sort of a funny closure system at the top where you place 4 grommets on a U clip and then clasp the shoulder strap to it, good enough for my purposes but be advised that it's not securely "zipped" or "tied" at the opening.
I like that the limitation on this bag is how much I can carry not how much it can hold.

The product was accurately described in the Amazon listing. It arrived quickly after the order was placed. This is no wimpy duffel bag. It is TOUGH. Heavy material and durable stitching make this item ready to take the hard knocks.

I purchased this bag to fasten my Oxygen 'E' Tank to my power wheelchair. It seems hard to find a holder for a power chair that is reasonably priced and works for a power chair as most seem to be for manual chairs. If I strapped the tank straight on my chair, then since the frame is set more inward than the seat, it would slide out of whatever I strapped around it, and fall off with a loud clank; I needed a bag to keep it from sliding out of the strap. It is probably double the width I need and later I will sew it in half, using one half for the tank and maybe the other half for things like my Reacher and umbrella.

The bag seems constructed well enough, it is heavy duty canvas, with one handle and a single strap that has metal hardware which attaches to a metal loop that goes through one of the eyelets. There is no padding on the strap, or bag, which is fine for my needs. I needed a bag where the center of gravity would be low, since I wanted to put it low on my wheelchair, however I imagine if one were standing with it on your shoulder, this means that the length of the bag would hang down low on a person. as the strap is 21" not including hardware, it would loop over your shoulder and hang beneath your armpit.

It would be perfect to haul laundry to the Laundromat, or if someone wanted to soft items into it for some reason like a sleeping bag and pillow, I say that because due to the size, it could get quite heavy if not careful.

I don't know which one I ordered... I thought it was going to be smaller. Basically, I can climb inside this bag and disappear... with more people. This bag is more like a tent. You can live in it. You can setup a grill inside and not be worried about the fire hitting the walls. A steak. You can grill a steak inside this bag.

I bought this duffle for my son going off to college for his laundry bag. Some of the other "laundry" bags had such skimpy handles I didn't think they would hold up to lots of dirty clothes being carried to another building to wash clothes. This one is very sturdy and it holds a ton of clothes plus detergent. He loves it as well.

I got one of this bags when I was going to Brazil, and the next trip I got another one so I could have two. I've been carrying a lot of stuff back and forth (my family is staying there) and I am checking in from 5 to 6 bags everytime (ouch!) - I've done this trip twice with these bags, and the check in people on two different airlines didn't complain about the size (which I was sure they would - it's huge) - so, it has worked out great for me. Last trip, the plane broke at JFK, so the luggage went to Miami instead of brasil, then from Miami BACK to NYC, then to Brazil, was picked up by airport personnel, loaded into an open bed truck, and drove to my house down there - not exactly people who would care for your luggage. They are both still intact, and the grommet system for closing it has worked surprisingly well so far. I am getting a third one right now... ha!

I purchased 2 of the duffels to move my climbing and backpacking equipments during a move across country.

When I filled it with equipment, I grapped the handle and it started to tear. So I had to move it by holding it in a bear hug.

If you're going to be moving light weight equipment, this bag is great. If you're moving heavy items, purchase a higher quality duffel.
