5.0 out of 5 stars a breath of creativity in a stale genre
Yo people...This is Brotha Lynch's 3rd solo album and it is by far the best. This album is an instant classic and DEFINITELY worth picking up if you can find it. From the completely helter skelter ramblings of FIRST DEGREE, to the old school gangsta style of ICE-T, Loaded's guest appearances are just the right ingredient to balance the uncut raw dope Lynch spits on...

It has some definate joints like did it and did it,that's what I said, and one mo pound to smoke.I think Lynch was trying to experiment a little bit and it came out tight its just not the classic Lynch...

From the completely helter skelter ramblings of FIRST DEGREE, to the old school gangsta style of ICE-T, Loaded's guest appearances are just the right ingredient to balance the uncut raw dope Lynch spits on every tracc.Rap purists HATE this album.Creative minds LOVE it.It is definitely one of my top 5 albums of all time and proves that Brotha Lynch is one of the most underrated, slept on, musical geniuses of our era. My final comment:if you appreciate innovation and think that hardcore rap is going in a monotonous direction, ride at night while playing this cd and with every chill that goes down your spine, remember that music is not something you listen to but something you FEEL.

As far as Brotha Lynch is concerned, I have nothing but praise. This is especially true when I listen to this album. I've read reviews stating that he's not like other, more mainstreamed artists, and I do agree with that. This, among other things, is exactly the reason people should check out Loaded and his other, just as provocative, albums (Season of the Siccness and 24 Deep). Too often artists set out to imitate others because they feel this is the approach to longetivity and this approach leaves so many of them at wayside, victims of commercially manufactured stereotypes. That's where Lynch stands out.
Listening to him use of not only "horror" culture (Die; 1 by 1), but also effects that give him an almost schitzophrenic feeling (Situation and briefly on That's What I Said), attest to his unique skills. Coupling this with his the repeated mention of cannibalism, the occasional meathook, craftworks envolving razorblades (Feel my Nature Rise), and his calmer, yet strangely castchy, "elevation" shout-out (On my briefcase), and you've got something everyone needs...

5.0 out of 5 stars Friggin' Brilliant., February 15, 2000

This album took me a couple of listenings before I could see where Lynch was going. His style has definitely changed since "Season...". But this album has a depth that the last album lacked, and the guest appearances are much more involved. In fact there are a ton of great cameos (Cokane, E-40, Twamp Dog, Polo, etc.), but the standout here is an amazing set of performances by First Degree, who collaborates on virtually every track. This guy is a virtuoso rapper, and I'd never even heard of him before. Check out "Heatas" and the first verse of "Secondz A Way" to see what I mean-- if this guy's not the next rap superstar-in-the-making, then I don't understand this music. All in all, a stellar release by Brotha Lynch, a genius in his own right who is never easily upstaged. Easily the most impressive and versatile rap album of 1997, and while it's not as ferociously in-your-face as "Season", you're going to find yourself playing it constantly.

5.0 out of 5 stars BLH is what the real rap fans listen to., November 9, 1999

If you have a car stereo system, this is a must have. Lynch's beats are tight as hell and his lyrics have deep meaning. He is by far the most underrated rap star. this is because he doesn't go on MTV. Some Siccmade rappers are in jail. This is the proof of the reality that surrounds Brotha Lynch Hung, and that his music is inspired by.

5.0 out of 5 stars Increbible Originality...Takes you somewhwere else, August 5, 2003

If i had to describe this album is one word...i couldn't. It's dark, twisted, and seems to engulf you in a story as teh album progresses. The tracks blend together perfectly, something i have never heard on any album before.

Lynch is probably the most complex dude in the game today, and after listening to this CD you will know why. People will say "Season of the Siccness" is his best work, but if you want to see Lynch at the most creative point in his career, pick up "Loaded"

My favorite album of all time, the boy has talent...

One Love. Siccmade!

Definitely a definitive must for any hip hop/rap fan. Brotha Lynch Hung is my favorite artist of all-time, and his along with Season of the Siccness are his two best albums. I can not stress enough how important this cd is in my collection. I will only take time out of my day to write recommendations for 3 albums, and this is one of them. A unique beat choice and classic appearances by Lynch's crew. MUST HAVE!

4.0 out of 5 stars this cd contains many powerful messages throughout the album, May 17, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Loaded (Audio CD)
Brotha Lynch Hung's second cd is everything you would expect and more. Even though it does not contain as much violent imagery, his explanations of situations that occur in the ghetto is more than enough to tide you over. Track 3 " Die one by one " is vintage Lynch Hung. It's filled with the gory descriptions of murder and even has traces of his meat obsession that set his cd apart from the rest. Rappers such as E-40 and Ice t are sprinkled throughout the album. One rapper stands out from the rest when you listen through the cd. He goes by the name of Sicx and is found in tracks 10 & 14. His fast-paced delivery and razor sharp adjectives are sure to make you rewind a few verses. This album has all the weapons to battle other more famous west coast rappers like Tupac Ice Cube and Mack 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Lynch, December 20, 2011
This review is from: Loaded (Audio CD)
I've had this album for prolly since it came out but I just started back on listening threw all of his albums picking out the best Brotha Lynch styles he's had throughout his career & this album proves that this is the type of Lynch that made him the most unique, awkward , most gangster lyricist out there. Still to this day Brotha Lynch has probably got the most unique form of gangster rap. He's still rappin bout razor blading peoples up.
