This review is from: Loafing Along Death Valley Trails: A Personal Narrative Of People And Places (Paperback)
This book was 1st printed in 1951; the author had spent 30 years in Death Valley. It is a great firsthand account of his encounters with the original prospectors from the '20's (and some earlier history) and their amazing conquests over the harsh conditions, both geographic and human. It is a great read, both first person and second hand stories written in a simple style, as though we're just shooting the breeze with an old timer passing through. An amazing book!
