Truly Brilliant,

I'll be the first to review this wonderful music. The guitar is crunchy, a la early Santana. The beat is tribal. Since it's so unlike anything I've ever heard, it's difficult to explain it. It is some of the best music I've picked up in a long time. I randomly grabbed it off the shelf at Waterlood Records in Austin and I couldn't be more pleased. I think you'll feel the same.

Fierce, feral and ferocious. The energy and spontaneity of a live performance (no overdubbing or second takes), but the arrangements are deceptively sophisticated. I'm a huge African music fan, and this is some the very best around. You NEED to have this!

Terrific stuff,

I'm very familiar with the music of most of the great names in West African pop-rock. Lobi Traore's should be right amoung them. This is fantastic stuff, up-tempo and totally authentic. The playing is tight, the vocals hypnotic, the production very good. If you're into any sort of blues, from Delta to desert, this won't disappoint. Highly recommended.
