Ad Astra
The story takes me away faster than I can say Korval :) I bought this audio because of Michael shanks who is the narrator and ended up loving the whole series.

weak
I received this audio book as a bonus when I bought the Dresden Files audio books. I tried to listen to it, 4 times, but each time I realized after an hour or so that I had no clue what had been going on and I tried again. I gave up eventually. I read about 100 books a year and this happens to me very rarely. My advice to the authors is to forget about...

Anyone familiar with the Liaden Universe and clan Korval will appreciate this fabulous interstellar adventure filled with intrigue, romance, clashing cultures and beautiful settings. Michael Shanks is a talented narrator and made the transition from print to audio seem so natural, so real. I hope Scout's Progress will be next.

I received this audio book as a bonus when I bought the Dresden Files audio books. I tried to listen to it, 4 times, but each time I realized after an hour or so that I had no clue what had been going on and I tried again. I gave up eventually. I read about 100 books a year and this happens to me very rarely.
My advice to the authors is to forget about writing books 2..6 and get a job in a different field. On the other hand, the Dresden Files were fantastic and totally worth the price of the package, with or without a bonus disk. The book is read by Michael Shanks, who plays Daniel Jackson in Stargate SG-1, my favorite TV show. Even that didn't manage to save it. |
