About the Artist
The Flying Fish Sailors began their journeys in 1988 performing Celtic folk, renaissance music and sea songs, then progressed to original songs, humor, parody and folk rock. No strangers to diversity, in their early days the band often played in punk clubs, opening for such notables as The Dead Milkmen, Live Skull, and Shoulders. In recent times the Fish have opened shows for the legendary British folk rockers Steeleye Span, Brother, Tommy Makem, and Altan. The bands' influences range from The Chieftains to Devo. Band_members: The Flying Fish Sailors are: Jim Bedinghaus

- percussion Greg Henkel- lead vocals, violin Jim Henkel - lead vocals, bouzouki, guitar Mitch Lawyer- bass, mandolin Jay Lee

- lead vocals, guitar Joseph Linbeck

- lead vocals, pennywhistle

Product Description
Look out! There's a monster coming! Just kidding, folks! Brace yourself for full- bore fun as the Flying Fish Sailors explore UFO's, monsters, cannibalism, the world-wide flu epidemic, canal barges, moving trucks, and discuss agrarian and crustacean themes. It's a wacky, hilarious folk extravaganza! The Flying Fish Sailors continue their cross-genre evolution of folk music, comedy songs, celtic music, and art rock! This is the hard stuff, so don't say we didn't warn you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Time!, January 17, 2004
By John E. Lambert (Houston, TX USA) - See all my reviews
If you are getting bored with the music that is coming out today. Tired of Britney? Christina? The Boy Bands? Or more of the crap that record companies want to shove down our throats.

These guys are your escape! Wonderful, head moving, beer drinking songs, to help you get through this thing called life!
Exploring themes of Moving, UFO Abductions, Caffiene Fits, and Dealing With Cannibals. Sounds like someone was having one very bad day! However, you just can't help but to laugh. Irony, what a wonderful thing!
