2.0 out of 5 stars Nikola Sarcevic - Lock-Sport-Krock
It is undeniable that there is an alluring element to any release advertised as a front man's (of an entertaining band, such as Millencolin) acoustic side project. Nevertheless, based on the contrived and banal nature of "Lock-Sport-Krock" Nikola Sarcevic planned to cash in on the marketability of the name he's created for himself through his successful Swedish Punk Rock...

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple and touching singer & songwriter, August 22, 2005

Nicola certainly has found a unique sound and a personal way of expressing himself. This album has some songs that have an impact on you -one way or the other. In "Lock-Sport-Knock", because you can perceive his loss and in "New Fool" because he's so damn honest. "-I am a loser, I am so lost without you-". That really strikes a nerve. I also enjoy the guitar playing, which is very tight and rythmic. This album nevertheless barely earned a 4-star rating, since almost half of the songs pass by relatively unnoticed.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty cool, but dont expect millencolin, July 31, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Lock-Sport-Krock (Audio CD)
When i heard Nikola had a single album, i knew that i would have to give it a try simply because he has such a great voice. So i got it and have listened to it many times. I have to say, getting used to some of the songs will take a while becasue of the wierd instruments and all. But after a while, it only gets better. One of the coolest things about this album is how honest and sincere his songs are. You dont usually see that on a CD. Overall, this CD is pretty good but not as good as Millencolin. If you want to hear the best of Nikola, go for Millencolin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heaven!, July 21, 2006

Nikola, more known as the front man in Millencolin, has made what I would like to call one of the most honest albums ever. I got shocked to see another reviewer give the album 2 stars. I wonder if he actually listened to the album more than once.

Don't expect puck rock or anything similar to Millencolin. The only thing that will remind you of Millencolin is Nikolas wonderful voice. The album is sweet and honest and deals with love, lost love and other sad things. You don't need to be a girl to like this album, because it simply is brilliant.

If you don't like the album, be sure to give it a few more spins. It took me a while to digest some of the strange sounds and instruments. To say it short, this is one of my favorite albums, and I do have more than 400 album in my CD-rack.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome, July 23, 2004

This is one of the best CD I have ever had the chance to listen to. Nikola does a great job preforming his frist solo album. Being a "Millencolin" fan, the music is not the same as "Millencolin", but it still has the same emotional lryics. This CD relates very much to the "Punk Goes Acoustic" compalation, with a more folk type sound on a select few of the songs. Its a must buy for any acoustic fan

2.0 out of 5 stars Nikola Sarcevic - Lock-Sport-Krock, January 22, 2005

It is undeniable that there is an alluring element to any release advertised as a front man's (of an entertaining band, such as Millencolin) acoustic side project. Nevertheless, based on the contrived and banal nature of "Lock-Sport-Krock" Nikola Sarcevic planned to cash in on the marketability of the name he's created for himself through his successful Swedish Punk Rock outfit. Mr. Sarcevic seems to have forgotten one thing; copying lines from his diary he kept as a middle schooler and passing them off as lyrics is not going to earn him any dignity among the critics. Noteworthy: "Lovetrap."
