I didn't realize that the unit is not built for my great big binos. It still works and keeps my binos in close to me which is amazing—especially when crossing barbed wire fences or crawling through brush and trees, but it is just not the ideal fit for my binos leaving the glass partially exposed.

I bought this for my husband for his hunting trips. This harness keeps his binoculars handy and easy to carry. Makes it quick and easy for him to use his binoculars to see. It also protects them from brush as he is walking thru the woods. It was just what he wanted.

I can't figure out how to adjust the harness so it is higher on my chest. Instructions are brief and small font.

Securing to the chest is no problem. But if you've got a large chest, maybe larger than 46" - 48", it might be snug. I'm guessing on that measurement.

If you're really tall (I'm 5'4") the inability of the harness to be adjusted for the height of the wearer could be an issue. If you're shorter than me, the binocs will be around your navel/waist area. If you're taller than me, the binocs will be about the right place (depends on where you're "right place" is). I'd prefer my binocs to be a bit higher. Maybe I'm too short. If you're a lot taller than me, the binocs may ride high.

It does what it advertises to do...keep the binocs from bouncing around, hanging down, etc. Can crawl and bend over and the binocs will stay against your torso. Of course, I'm writing this review based on wearing the harness and my binocs here in the house, not out in the field. Once I get a feel of the harness in the field, I may need to edit this review.

The back of the harness is nice, soft, and wide enough so nothing cuts into your back.

I'm fine with these...and, again...hopefully, I'm not editing this review next month.
The top cover is rigid. The brochure says it is flexible and can be made to conform, but I don't want to force the issue right now. The bottom flap is really secure. My binocs are right at 7.5" when the eyecups are extended. I think I'd rather have this than the flap be too loose which will allow the binocs to bounce around a bit. As it is, the binocs are secure against my abdomen. That's the main reason I rated 4 stars instead of 3.

For many years I used a regular harness for my binoculars but the they didn't fair so well in the snow. I thought these would solve that problem only to discover a new set of problems with this type. These are great if you're a bird watcher or tourist but for the hunter they are useless. I ride an ATV when I hunt and discovered that this harness does absolutely nothing to keep the dust off the lenses. They also moved side to side in the cradle so I can only give this item a two stars. You're better off just getting on open style harness. I recently purchased the new Badlands Pack Bino X but have yet to use them in hunting conditions.
