Book Description

Doctor Anna Lewis administrates a team of researchers who find their facility co-opted by the military, with a very special project. They're charged with looking for a medical cause to the sudden outbreak of violence and riots in the capital, which have begun spreading to neighboring cities. They must struggle to assimilate new equipment and talent, while searching for a scientific explanation.

What they discover challenges their sense of ethics, and draws them together while simultaneously tearing them apart. As the unrelenting enemy draws closer, their research is superseded by the need to survive long enough to report their chilling discoveries to the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars The world is going to Hell, but it's a fun trip September 9, 2011

This is an excellent follow-up to the author's previous zombie story, Locked-In (although they can be read separately and/or in any order). It continues to build upon a world that is almost literally descending into a chaotic living (or unliving) Hell. The short story approach the author uses allows her to gradually unfold this tale from multiple different perspectives which when taken as a whole paint a very vivid picture of the world and not just from the survivor's perspective either.

The heroes are strong but flawed and the monsters are both terrifying and almost sympathetic at the same time. I am very curious to see where the author next takes us in her Zombie Bedtime Stories series, although I have a feeling it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better...however, that's a good thing for us readers! I look forward to the carnage ahead.

5.0 out of 5 stars The plot thickens January 19, 2013

Even better than the first book which was excellent. I truly love the fact that we're being given a view of the madness as it starts, and from people and angles that are never touched on by most popular fiction and it's very refreshing. We're in the midst of the maddness and not just getting tossed in after the massive start and annilation of society. That's fine too but always done. The wonderful Thea Gregory is taking us from all angles as it heightens. Charachters that feel like real people and are plausible. The story is flat out original and solid. Fans of zombies and horror all around should read this series. I'm anxious to read the next one. Let's hope that Ms. Gregory writes for a very long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be careful, it gets even worse January 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I read Zombie Bedtime Stories #1 out of curiosity and I loved it, so I took the next story "Locked-out" and I loved it even more ! Now I can't wait reading what is coming next !

The first story was mainly centered on one character, now that story has a wider scope and we can really see how terrible things are going.
Instead of being hungry gory creatures without energy zombies are strong and more dangerous making the whole story even more dramatic.
