3.0 out of 5 stars Try the demo first
I was disappointed over this game. It gets repetitious really quick.

Go on PSN(Playstation Network), and download the demo and see if you like it. It's okay.

The demo is only 64MB so I recommend trying the demo.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Joy!!!, March 13, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: LocoRoco 2 (Video Game)
LocoRoco 2 is an absolute blast. This game is addictive, easily accessible and a joy for all ages. If you have played the first LocoRoco, the mechanics have not changed. The controls remain seductively simple and for the most part, the difficulty scales appropriately. As others have mentioned, there is a new stage select system. It is less sterile, more organic than the menu in the first game. While it takes a little getting used to, I find it an improvement that adds to the overall feel of the game. Additionally, there are several new mini games which offer a break from the traditional platform game. They are a very welcome addition and serve to break up the action a bit. My personal favorite is the Mui Mui House. As you play through the games stages, you collect items which allow you to build and furnish a house for all the Mui Muis that you rescue! For example, it takes 3 specific items to build a guitar. Once it's in your house, a Mui Mui will pick it up and play it. As he does so, you can hear a guitar added to the soundtrack. As silly as this sounds, it is incredibly fun and rewarding.

I have heard LocoRoco described as the happiest game ever and I could not agree more. It is hard not to smile while you are playing it. : )

5.0 out of 5 stars Blobs of Fun, February 14, 2009

One of the most brilliant games on the PSP is back for a second helping, and it does NOT disappoint. Really, this is one of those PSP games that will have your unit shutting off because you didn't notice how long you had been playing and how low your battery is running. Like its predecessor, LR2 is a classic because it is so simple to learn and easy to control, yet you need skill and practice to pick up all the berries, mui muis, and other bonuses. Apparently there aren't as many worlds in this sequel as in the original game, but there are more goals to achieve in each world, including collecting and playing musical notes. There are also new minigames, including some sort of jousting game with ad hoc multiplayer support. Game levels and graphics, plus the variety of game play, are again inspired. LR2 is quite simply a must-have for PSP owners, and one of the most exciting exclusive titles for the system. Just about the most fun $20 can buy you these days.

This is a great sequel to a great game. Perfect for all ages I would highly recommend this game to anyone with a PSP. Colorful with addictive music you'll find yourself humming the music even after you've stopped playing. Great levels and addictive mini-games games like this are the reason I bought my PSP.

I have never been the biggest videogame enthusiast since I am more of a puzzle and challenge kind of girl rather than action adventure or shoot em up game. I just recently purchased a PSP so I had a change of pace from my Cooking Mama and Super Mario Bros on the DS that you have to use the pointer for most of the time to play (sometimes I just want to play a good ole fashioned videogame). I turned this on and literally have had to make a large effort to put it down since! It is challenging enough that you have to think about things however it isn't to the point where you just get frustrated and give up and refuse to play the game anymore ha ha. I can see how if you are a crazy action fanatic this can get boring for you, however if you are like me and like the puzzles but don't want to be stumped into not being able to do anything in the game then this is the game for you. I am looking into purchasing the first one as well since apparently it has more levels yet the same type of play.

Let me tell you guys, I like to play mature games like(Def jam fight for NY the takeover, Silent Hill and others) but I tried my son's game LocoRoco 2 and "I LOVED IT". The game is simple, interesting, addicting and for the most part it will make you happy. I will recommend it to everyone young or old.

this game is so much fun, the sound track is nuts it's so happy sounding. everything is smiling. the moja enemies are icky but you bop them away. why can't all games make me so happy?

if you insist on having 3-d graphics or having everybody die in bloody heaps this probably isn't the game for you. but who wants to play that?

My favorite locoroco is the green one but I haven't played with them all yet.

HAPPY!

Probably the most addictive game I've played in some time. I'm not sure what age group this is aimed at, because although the graphics, storyline and music seem suitable to the under tens and the controls are simple to use, a lot of the game is technically demanding for young children requiring good hand eye co-ordination and musical rhythm.
LocoRoco2 is a game that will appeal to any age.

5.0 out of 5 stars LocoRoco2 equals FUN!, February 26, 2009

It's great to see that the occasional fun, creative game is still being developed. After watching the video for this game, I thought that LocoRoco2 would be kinda fun but I was worried that it would be too easy and that it would quickly get boring. I got the game a couple of days ago and LocoRoco2 is not only fun, it's almost addicting.

The mechanics of the game are pretty basic. You use 3 buttons to control the LocoRoco through about 25 levels. So it's easy to play but seriously it's not so easy that it becomes boring, it's just not stress-inducing like so many other games out there.

This game far exceeded my expectations. After playing for a couple of days, I continue to look forward to picking this game up. Seriously, it's only $20, do yourself a favor, pick up LocoRoco2, kick back, relax, and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loco Roco fun!, December 15, 2011

I was looking for a game for my daughter but there seem to be a lot of boy-related games for PSP. I saw this here on amazon and it had many good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. Well, it's a hit. My daughter loves it. She likes all the silly shaped characters and she really gets into the games. It seems really different than other games she has (for Wii and DS) and so that is a nice change. She wants to look for Loco Roco 1, which I didn't even notice when I bought this. But no rush. She is still hooked on Loco Roco 2 for now.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was good fun - until you got nearer to the end, July 29, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: LocoRoco 2 (Video Game)
One of my first games in PSP - I had a lot of fun playing this. I liked the simplicity, the bubbly fun of the LocoRocos and MuiMuis, the challenges and the achievements you make, and building the MuiMui house. It had just the right amount of challenge, without the confusion of too much button combos. Overall, I liked the game very much. With the exception of the fact that I JUST COULDN'T FINISH IT.

I was able to collect everything I needed and aced everything until I got to the final stage that I needed to unlock. For that I had to complete the BuiBui Fort 3. THAT level blew my mind. No matter how much I tried; I tried playing it around 50 times, whatever - it was really HARD. I made a little progress, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to complete it without playing it for 50 more times. I tried to give it a break, then try another time, but it still didn't work. At this point I was saying, "this is ridiculous." This is completely defeating the purpose of the whole idea of LocoRoco being fun and simple. I don't mind a little challenge, but that was to the point of being insane.

I am really sad that I had to put down this game for now. I may try to still finish that level, but I really don't have the motivation to do so - at least for a while.
