Well, I now think different after using this product (Loctite Handyman's ALL-PURPOSE Adhesive Sealant)!
I was sceptical at first! I've used thousands of tubes of acrylic caulking and this product first reminded me of caulking, because it is initially white (dries clear), and it's odorless. THAT is where the similarity ends!
Caulking will "roll" off your fingers when it dreis... NOT this stuff! Caulking is mainly a "sealant"... This is a sealant, but whatever it gets on- it glues permanantly!
It will even work as a contact adhesive for leather and other fabrics!
The reason I'm here is to BUY MORE!
I hope this helps you to make a decision on the adhesive you will buy. Do yourself a favor... Try it!
The adhesive is very low odor, especially compared to the epoxy. I have had trouble finding information on its tensile strength (at a right angle to the plane of the bond), but the shear strength (parallel to the plane of the bond) seems fairly high. To be on the safe side, I try to arrange the joints so that a shearing force is applied, rather than tension.
The instructions say to coat both surfaces of the joint before bonding, then wait 5 minutes before uniting them. I often forget about the project for up to fifteen minutes, but have not noticed any decrease in performance, which is still only minimally tested.
So far, I am quite pleased with this product. This review may be updated later when additional real-life testing has proven (or disproven) its claimed performance.
I would recommend that you sand down the surface and clean it with 91% alcohol or vodka. Some rubbing alcohols leave a slight greasy residue
I bought some of the outdoor version and it is *completely* different stuff. Smells like contact cement, and I think that is what it is.

I love this glue, I use it for my business and it is really great. Not messy and I can use it in places that no other glue can be used since it dries clear.Published 5 months ago by eduardo medina
This is my "glue" for just about everything - broken toys, broken clay whistle, affixing a metal latch to catch a security bar, etc. Goes on white, dries clear. Read morePublished 7 months ago by M. Magyar
