Well I got 200 stainless steel/plastic Travel mug/thermos sets as a sales giveaway. Almost half came unglued in various spots. I came across this on sale at target. 2 tubes took care of it ALL and i kept the worst of the bunch for myself to test longevity. 5 months later, 20 high heat dishwashings later, and at least 100 twist on and offs. It looks and works great. I now use it on anything and recommend it highly.

I am a flashlight freak. Also known as a "flashaholic". I spend an inordinate amount of time and money not only buying high end flashlights, but I also do extensive modifications in a feeble attempt to reach an unobtainble goal - the perfect flashlight. One of my projects began with 6 volt lantern. I made my own battery pack using four 14AH Tenergy NIMH cells. I built a charging circuit into the light. And the last step was to use a P60 LED light module in place of the regular 6V bulb. (You can learn more about P60 modules at candlepowerforums.com - "CPF" - but don't blame me if you end up addicted). The only way I could secure the P60 module was to use hot glue. But the P60 module runs so hot that the hot glue softens after only a minute of use. This project went back on the shelf until something better came along, and it has! I didn't even remove in ineffective hot glue. I simply "glopped" a bunch the Loctite All-Temperature Adhesive on top of it and let it dry for 24 hours. The result is amazing. I can run my light at full brightness for an hour with absolutely no sign of the Loctite material losing it's grip. And, while not the subject of this review, it's remarkable the P60 module survives, as it is meant to mounted in a body designed for it, which provides plenty a heatsinking. No heatsinking here, it is operating in free air. I'm getting close to the perfect flashight now - lots of light and lots of run time. Now I just need to figure out how to shrink this down to the size of an AA cell.

I wanted to adhere a small solar panel to the roof of my camper shell and did not want to drill holes in the roof, which is the standard way to do it. I picked out this product from a display with many other glues because it said it would hold up to vibration, shock and heat. I was pessimistic that mere glue could hold a solar panel to a camper roof but I didn't know of any other alternatives other than the drilling holes for screws so I tried it. Of course I planned not to drive around without testing the hold intensely. What a surprise! Once it dried (clear, as claimed), I couldn't budge that panel, putting as much force on it as I could. I've been driving around for a week now and the installation has been subjected to high winds and heat and vibration, and there's not a sign of weakening.
I didn't use the whole tube and was also pleasantly surprised when the cap unscrewed easily two days later - I've often had these types of glues glue their own caps on after one use. However, a few more days and I couldn't get the cap off. That was easily solved by using scissors to cut a small opening in a bottom corner of the tube and I was able to squeeze glue out for another repair job. Still some glue left, the scissors solution will allow me to use the whole tube or nearly all of it by cutting new holes each time. This isn't a complaint about the product; all the really tough glues do this. I'm not sure there's any way around it.
I think the glue is well worth the price.

I had a rust hole about the size of a dime in my car door that rusted from the inside out. It started out as a paint bubble. All I wanted to do was to seal this rust spot to keep it from spreading. I've tried a lot of other sealers but I always got rust eventually. I put this on back in 2001 and it is still holding with no rust. Yeah it is a white color so it looks like a bird dropping on my dark green Honda Civic DX but that doesn't bother me. The package said cured state: clear, tough, flexible, rubbery. It's not clear. It's white as well as tough, flexible and rubbery. I'm ordering three tubes from the internet because I couldn't find any at Walmart and didn't want to waste time at an auto supply store. I moved recently and am putting up a TV antenna good for 100 miles on a 50 foot telescoping mast. I'm going to seal all the connections with this adhesive because I know first hand that it seals great and has lasted 8 years on my car door.

I used this material to make a large repair a leaky sneaker. It's too early to tell for sure, but it looks as though it does an extremely good job. Very adherent, very tough, very resilient. The product looks and smells like a routine clear silicone adhesive, but it seems to be some sort of ultra-strength industrial formulation. It does NOT seem to be a urethane, as categorized on Amazon.

There are a few other reviews around, and they duplicate my experience -- on first glance it seems to be just another glue, but in use it's in a class by itself.

The GPS mounting plate started falling off my dashboard when the weather got hot. After several failed attempts with other options. I found this and it's been working fine for two years in both cold of winter and extreme heat of a dark gray dashboard in summer. Great product.
