5.0 out of 5 stars crispy cornsticks
Pre-seasoned cast iron is great. Followed the directions in a Cooking Light recipe and got wonderful crispy cornsticks. Popped out of the pan easily, no sticking. Preheat the pans in a 425 degree oven for 5 minutes. Remove and immediately coat with cooking spray. Spoon in batter and bake for 18 minutes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont buy!
This is too small buy the larger one. When I got it I just laughed at how small it was.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!, January 20, 2004
This review is from: Lodge Logic Cornstick Pan (Kitchen)
This is a perfect way to spruce up plain old corn bread, by making it look like perfect ears of corn! My kids love it and it looks very nice when serving guests. I have one that was passed down to me and I am ordering this pre-seasoned one also because one pan is never enough! I wish they offered a pan that cooked more at one time. This is a great investment and works better than products that cost three times as much.

1.0 out of 5 stars this is the size for an easy bake oven, not real use!, January 11, 2009

I should've read the reviews and measurements more closely. Can't imagine how you would actually use this item to cook in, IT IS LITERALLY THE SIZE OF AN INDEX CARD!! To make a standard package of cornbread mix would take forever. I returned mine, and would not recommend it to anyone who wants to use it to actually bake cornbread in.

5.0 out of 5 stars cornstick pan, September 7, 2008

I HAVE USED THESE BEFORE WHEN I LIVED IN TEXAS. I HAD TO LEAVE MINE. AND WHEN I FOUND THESE I HAD TO GET THEM. I LOVE THE LITTLE EARS OF CORN THEY MAKE. I FORGOT HOW TO USE THEM SOME OF THEM STUCK BUT I REMEMBERED YOU HAVE TO OIL THEM AND THEN PUT THEM IN THE OVEN TO PREHEAT AND THEN TAKE THEM OUT THEN PUT THE CORN MEAL IN . I PUT MINE IN A ZIPLOC BAG AND CUT THE CORNER SO IT WASN'T MESSY AND IT WAS SO EASY TO REAL FILL THEM WHEN THEY CAME OUT OF THE OVEN.

For those of us who remember grandma's little "ears of corn" bread! Cast iron never wears out and you can give your old-fashioned cornbread a decorative change for dinner parties, fish fries, church picnics, holiday dinners...the list goes on and on. Well worth adding to your kitchen. Also makes a nice wedding or shower gift

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but smaller than I thought, November 11, 2011

This "large" corn stick pan makes seven little 5 inch corn cakes. I wonder, if this is the large, how teeny-tiny must the mini pan be!

Still, I love cast iron cookware and my red pepper corn bread looked great at dinner. Overall, lots of fun to have.

A great way to serve corn bread. The corn sticks come out crispy and are a prefect size. I love the idea of the pan being pre-seasoned, it helps with clean-up. I use Jiffy brand corn bread mix and one pan uses 1/2 the batter so I wish I would have purchased two.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very cute little pan, March 6, 2010

I do love cast iron. This pan is totally nonstick, very heavy, and nice quality. It makes small little oblongs of cornbread, cake, or cookie in the shape of little ears of corn. These are much smaller than a real ear of corn--maybe 1/4 the size. They are quite small. I can't imagine buying the "mini" version of this, as this one is already so small.

It has limited usefulness, but it is fun to have if you really love cast iron, or have a particular need for it. Honestly, I prefer my cornbread made like a johnny cake--in a cake pan and cut into slices. But it's a quality pan.
