This pan makes really good cornbread! Heat it up and grease it before putting in the batter and you'll end up with cornbread that is tender in the middle and has a nice crispy crust. The small booklet that comes with the set has some recipes that look interesting, but I haven't tried any yet, Highly recommended.

This pan is called the "Cornbread Festival" pan, but it can be used for so much more. Baking Cakes, cooking fish, pancakes, and omlettes. My mother used cast iron many years ago and I forgot how good it is. Cast Iron has quickly become my pan of choice, I now have a whole set.

I will never waste my money on nonstick cookware again!! I have aprox. 6 cast iron pans, and they are great. Lodge is a great name and I have always been pleased with the quality. I find that I use this pan more than I thought. Works great for cornbread!

Bought this on a whim because I love cornbread and wanted the recipe book. It includes the square pan, a handle mit and over 40 recipes for cornbread. All of the recipes are more like cassarole dishes with cornbread as an ingredient. At first glance I was dissapointed, but after making one (Skillet Chicken Enchiladas) I'm looking forward to trying every single one. It was outstanding.

This is a perfect gift for someone just starting out in the kitchen or who loves cornbread.

I am so pleased with this set. Cornbread is wonderful when baked in cast iron and a square pan is so perfect not just cornbread but biscuits and baoon, everything. The silly little pot grip is great! I first thought what a waste but I was so wrong. It is perfect and really comes in handy for me.

Just typical Lodge. Great product. Good little recipe book and a great pan. The pan is perfect for other small frying items as well. I am buying another for my son.

Lodge makes the best cast iron. I have several pieces and this one is great.
