My 3 boys are always outside. So when I had to call them in for meals, or at night I had to yell pretty loudly. It is an awesome way to call in your children without yelling. My neigbors all thought it was cool too. My only probably with it, is that it chipped some of the black paint off. I was looking for a bell but this was cheaper and got the job done! I am happy with my choice.

This dinner bell is not very large and as a result not very loud. It is not something that you want to use outdoors, but is fun to call guests to the table indoors.

I am retired and cook for my wife and me. My wife works in an office upstairs and is frequently on the phone when I want her to come down for dinner. I used to yell for her to come down and she could not acknowledge because of her phone calls. Sometimes she would hear me and other times not and dinner got cold waiting for her. Now, I clang this dinner bell and I know she hears me and comes down when I need her to. She likes it to because she no longer gets lectures from me on how come she doesn't acknowledge my calls to her and she gets dinner when it is ready. Sounds silly but it works and we get along better for it. Does just what it says it does and does it well. I recommend it.

This is so much fun to have while we are building our log cabin. Everyone can hear the Dinner bell over the sounds of hammers, saws, and compressors! Great thing to have.

Lovely little piece. I purchased this as a Christmas present to my Cowboy of a father -- more as a humor gift than one for actual use -- and he was very pleasantly surprised. It actually works quite well, without being ridiculously expensive like some I've seen.

I gave this as a gift and they loved it. It was nice and delivered very quickly.

This dinner bell does its job and sounds good, but the paint on the triangle is chipping where struck by the striker
