If you use it correctly from the VERY beginning, you'll get good results. The trick is to oil the wheel and APPLY VERY LIGHT PRESSURE!!!! If you apply hard pressure, you will bend the pin and the wheel and pin will drop out. ALSO, MAKE ONE PERFECT LINE, DO NOT GO OVER AND OVER AGIN.

Its a good idea to buy some additional wheels and pins, item #786, as they will wear out or get lost easily. When either falls out, you will never find them again. If you oil and use light pressure, the wheel will last longer.

I bought the 60" Logan Adapt-A-Rule to cut framing glass in a straight line. I cut a 40x60 inch glass pane down to 24x60, which is the long way. Its also a good idea to get glass pliers, like from Fletcher, which makes breaking the glass easier and more consistent.

I came close to buying a Fletcher dedicated glass cutter, but they are expensive ($2500) and take up ALOT of space I don't have. I may eventually buy one, but for now, I wanted something that was reliable enough for maybe 5 cuts per week. I build my own frames for selling at art festivals, and using glass instead of plexi has saved me alot of money.

I frame my own artwork for shows, galleries, museums, etc. Already have a Logan mat cutter & this was the perfect addition. Sick of paying crazy-money for a square of glass + driving, waiting & so forth. Now I can do it myself. It's brilliant!

Found it very easy to use. A tiny drop of oil, some steady even pressure, nothing too aggressive, just commit & go for it. A must-have add-on are the glass pliers that snaps it after it's scored + a decent pair of protective gloves because the edges are quite sharp. I also bought some extra cutting wheels just to keep on-hand. Have cut several pieces so far & am still on my first wheel. That's about it. Works perfectly. Very happy.

You just need to make sure you don't move that ruler or straightedge item when cutting the glass, it'd be great to have another pair of hands just in case. But it works fine if you're alone too, so long as the glass you're cutting is of (small) reasonable size. The glass cutting fluid is a great lubricant, but don't put so much as it can get a tiny bit messy and slippery (it has instructions on the back of the item). Overall, great product, but know that it can only cut glass up to 0.09" thick, as it only helps score. Don't forget to also put a matboard underneath the glass you intend to cut. Overall, good product, Logan is a great quality brand.
