4.0 out of 5 stars Great Introductions...But...
I don't have Logic yet [I've recorded on it with fellow recording artists, but I don't personally own it], but I plan to purchase Logic Pro 8 in the next month or so. I wanted to read this book and get an idea of what Logic is, its capabilities and what I'm looking forward to doing. I was first introduced to the Power Series a few years ago when Propellerheads' Reason 3.0...

... Plagiarized right off the original manual. Seriously, just read the manual. This book is nothing more than scaled down version of the Logic manual, only worded so that it appears to be something that is enlightening you. Which is a total waste of money, since you're paying for information that has already been given to you when you bought Logic Studio. Totally...

I wanted to read this book and get an idea of what Logic is, its capabilities and what I'm looking forward to doing. I was first introduced to the Power Series a few years ago when Propellerheads' Reason 3.0 was released. The book's [Logic Pro 8 Power] information was great and makes me very confident in knowing what I will need to do when I open Logic for the first time. I now understand with great depth what a chanel strip is, how to sequence in the Arrange Window, Software Instruments, Audio Tracks, etc.

The only thing I would say was a major STRIKE was that the book's photos were not in color. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. 5 stars for content. 1 star scratched for the omitted color. They balance out...

5.0 out of 5 stars Love This Book, May 17, 2007
This review is from: Logic Pro 8 Power (Paperback)
I picked up Logic X from the usually sources, I couldn't believe all the new features!!! I've been keeping my mouth shut for a long time and lying to all my friends about it. Even worse, I couldn't ask any of them for help with it either!

This book is going to blow the doors off of Logic X.

Good job Don and Orren. Hope to find time to read the Advanced Chapters soon!
