I was very hesitant about paying this much for an alarm clock but seeming how it charges my ipods and my iphone 4 thought it would be worth it. This thing picks up stations my home theater system wont pick up and the reoccurring alarm is great i don't have to keep setting it every night before i go to sleep. It charges my nano and plays the music from it but i haven't tried to wake up from just the ipod. The set up can be a little confusing but after sometime i got it down.Been using it for a couple months now and very happy with it. The display is orange not red like it seems in the pic...

Perfect Display Setting for Dark Room,

I purchased this clock online two months ago as part of my desperate search to replace a 30 year-old GE alarm clock that had a perfectly lit display. I wanted a digital alarm clock (color did not matter) that did not project like a nightlight into my room. This was the third clock I purchased and the first one that met my criteria. It has three display settings and I use it on the lightest one. It is easy to read in the middle of the night, but does not project light into the room. I thought that maybe the additional date display would project more light, but it does not. Finally, a darkened room!I have to confess that other than the alarm (wake to radio, which works fine) and docking my iPod, I have not used any of the other functions yet. It was totally worth the $70 to keep my room dark through the night.

No battery backup,
This review is from: Logic3 i-Station TimeCube for iPhone and iPod (Black) (Electronics)
I bought this TimeCube home today, and set it up in my lounge. After programming in the time, date, radio stations, etc The sound was good, both from my Ipod 3G and radio. I then unplugged it and moved it to my bedroom. Guess what? This bedside radio had forgotten everything that I had programmed in. Now you tell me - what is the use of a bedside radio which is supposed to wake you up, then fails to because there was a power outage during a stormy night. The manufacturer seems to have forgotten the most basic need for a bedside radio, where is the battery backup in case of a power outage?
