The LOGISYS PS550E12BK is a ATX form factor supply that is a good choice if you need a 6-pin 12V connector to power a graphics card that requires external power. I will be comparing this supply to the similar LOGISYS PS480E12 480W 120mm Ball Bearing Switching Power Supply (which does NOT have the 6-pin connector).
CONNECTORS:
20+4 ATX power connector
2 x 4-pin motherboard 12V power connectors
1 x 6-pin graphics card power
4 x molex drive connectors
2 x SATA power connectors
THE GOOD:
+ Has black textured (anti-fingerprint) case
+ Has one dual ball bearing 120mm cooling fan (verified by the label of the fan itself). Ball bearing fans are a must in power supplies because a bad fan will cause the power supply to cook itself to failure shortly (if you don't notice that the fan has failed). A ball bearing fan has superior lifespan over the cheaper sleeve bearing fans that are used on most power supplies. Anyway, the fan in this supply has an RPM of 1600 and is not adjustable or temperature controlled.
+ This supply also has dual 12V motherboard power connectors (the 4 pin one that plugs into the motherboard). As shipped it looks like a single 8-pin connector and so you might be confused that there is no 4-pin connector at first glance. However the two connectors combine into one, so if you only have a single 4-pin connector on your motherboard (like most boards) you need to separate the two connectors. Note that the similar PS480E12 supply does not have dual 12V connectors.
+ 12V power rail is higher amperage (25A) than on similar priced PS480E12 supply (16A).

It was a pretty good price, I paid $40. It worked in my system for about 2 days then died completely. I tested it with two of my PSU testers, negative. My system was rated 480W, I think this thing is just cheap. I might try to RMA but it will probably end up costing me more than $40, oh well you get what you pay for.

This unit it really more like a 300watt powersupply. Other than being overrated, it's fine, but it's not 550watts by any means.

Do not buy this !! as someone else stated the 550 w advertised is actually only 400 w output ...very confusing and lame !! and it even states 550 w on the box cover but then says 400 w output on the side ...Its a junk psu seriously spend 40 and get a good brand like OCZ which i just bought its a 600 w psu . Also make sure the psu you get has at least an 80% efficiency rating . sometimes its worth the few extra bucks !! This psu is falsely advertised and it fried as soon as I plugged it in !!

This power supply feels a little "light" when you unpack it. I don't think I would use it for any kind of servers or gaming rigs, but if you're looking for a cheap high wattage power supply this one does the trick. I installed 3 hard drives, and a radeon 6450HD into an old HP core 2 duo machine and I haven't had any power drains yet (I wasn't having them before either, but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry... low power issues can cause data loss and I have a raid in this box). So far so good, and I'm really happy with the price.

I used this on a Nvidia GTX 260 core (216) and it worked awesome. I just had to buy a 6 pin adapter to have 2 6 pins instead of one for my graphics card. Total spent on this and adapter came out to be $30. That's a good price for a nice gaming power supply. Very happy with the performance of this item. I bought 2 and can't wait to put the other one in a new gaming rig.

I am bitterly disappointed. I ordered this product expecting it to have a p4 connector (4-pin) as stated in the product review. It does not have a p4, it has a 6-pin whatever instead. And the box isn't even what is shown above. I have been buying products from Amazon for years now and this is the first time that I can recollect that I have had anything negative to say. How am I to trust that any electronic product is what I needed if the adverts are false?

I own several CyberPower PCs. They are all great PCs, except for their power supply. The power supplies are all cheap and burn out after about a year or two. I bought this one to power my son's PC after the power supply went out. The first time I installed it I could not get it work. I was getting ready to return it when I noticed one of the connections can be changed from a 6 pin to 2 or 4. My son's PC needed a 4 pin and when I tried all 6 it would not work. Once I re-installed it with the 4 pin connections it worked like a charm. So far it has been running for 2 months without any problems.
