The Logitech M325 wireless mouse is both very attractive and functional. You don't need directions to set it up or use it--just plug in the USB receiver, pull the battery protector strip out, and turn it on. It has nice rubber sides and grip on the scrolling wheel. The scrolling and clicking functions are very smooth and accurate.

A nice touch is the battery compartment door that opens effortlessly but fastens securely and inside the compartment is a secret slot to store the USB receiver! An alkaline AA is pre-installed.

This mouse is very compact. It is really not quite as chubby as it appears in the photos. The shape and texture are very pleasant and I keep catching myself fondling it! The weight is well-balanced and it is designed to be used with either hand.

Two very minor complaints: the USB receiver looks very much like the one that came with my Logitech wireless keyboard K360 but it doesn't work with it, and vice versa. Also, the non-recyclable clamshell packaging is wasteful--although it has perforations in the back so opening it was easier than opening a beverage can. I understand that it is important to be able to see the product in brick & mortar stores but for online sales, Logitech should package it in cardboard only.

This is definitely a five-star mouse, nice quality, attractive design, very portable. If you are using a wired mouse or have a sore forefinger from using a touchpad, you will really enjoy it. I am using it for reading while still using the touchpad when typing.

Pros:

- great price
- long lasting battery
- attractive design
- pretty light weight
- nice quality - doesn't feel cheap
- includes battery
- incredibly easy installation - plug in the USB, take the plastic off the battery, and you're good to go!
UPDATES 1/19/15:
- I have dropped this mouse from desk height at least 3 times so far, and it's had no problems
- I've had this mouse for over a year now, and I've only had to change the battery twice
- The compartment for the battery also has a slot for the USB - great for on the go!

Cons:

- have to remember to flip the switch on the bottom to turn it off if not using for a while (UPDATE: this hasn't been a problem at all, since the mouse has such great battery life)

Overall, a great buy!

I have used Logitech mice and keyboards for a while now and have found them to be consistently good products. After I purchased an Acer C7 Chromebook I decided I would like a portable mouse since I am not crazy about the touchpad. I bought the M325 mouse and am completely satisfied with its performance. Because I am left-handed I hate mice with buttons on the side and this one has none.
The mouse is precise - it goes where I want it to, the left and right buttons work fine and the scroll wheel works great with the back page/forward page left/right effort being just right.

I highly recommend this mouse and would buy it again.

Since I got frustrated with the similar model by Microsoft I can tell you how this one is superior. 1) does not keep downloading it's own version of software and drivers on every computer like microsoft similar model does. 2) the scroll wheel is much more finely gradated and it works across different types of windows and website file more evenly. With the Microsoft one, you get the wheel set just right for say Yahoo email and then it goes too slow (or too fast--scrolling that is) in a regular website or in Word. Get it set just right in one of those, and then sucks for how it works somewhere else. I'm not sure why, except the Microsoft mouse wheel has clicks that are much "larger" if you will, and getting them adjusted right so they do not move too much or too little is quite a pain, and then you are compromising between types of windows you are in. 3) this is the one that really prompted me replacing my Microsoft mouse that is similar: The buttons have too strong a spring for my taste, so you really have to press a lot harder than on this Logitech. That gets old, especially on alternate click. The Microsoft model has ONE advantage, though. The receiver dongle fits nicely into the bottom of the mouse itself for travel. It does on this Logitech one, also, but you have to open the batter door to stick it in there. On Microsoft model, you just insert it into a space and you click a button to release it. However, this is not a big deal and the door to open for batter and to insert dongle is very well made and works well on this model by Logitech. HIGHLY recommend this mouse.

I bought this for my chromebook, and am very satisfied. Love the scrolling action and the plug and play ease of use. Spend the extra $10 it will be worth it for the quality!

Could not get a Bluetooth mouse to work with my 11.6 inch Samsung Chromebook even though it
has Bluetooth built in to it. Thought I would just go with a wireless one and chose this one, glad
to say it works fine just plugged in the nano receiver and in 2 seconds it was working fine. Smooth
scroll wheel and the buttons work fine..It came with a double A battery installed so it was ready to
go right out of the box..I ordered the light silver one because it matches the color of the 11.6" Chromebook.
It's the perfect size for my large hands plus the wife says it's the right size for her also..Video
shows the Logitech mouse next to a full size Microsoft wireless 5000 to get a size comparison.

I used to own a different Logitech wireless mouse a few years back, but it got lost so I needed a replacement for my new laptop that doesn't allow for web scrolling! (What gives right?!) It's comfortable, the design is lovely, and it's compact so I can easily take it to and from school with me for writing sessions.

Not a massive, full-hand mouse but not a miniature either, it's just right. I love the small USB transceiver, it doesn't stick out a lot and doesn't have to be removed to fit into my laptop case. I have three of these on three different laptops. I've had one for a year and haven't replaced the battery yet.

I see a lot of it doesn't work anymore comments, I wonder if people are using windows and if they are then I wonder if they know that windows by default allows the mobo to turn off usb ports to save power. I've had the issue before, simply going into device manager and select your usb root hub and uncheck the box under power.

I have always used Logitech mice with my Macs. This is the first one I have disliked. The M325's problem, which makes it my problem, is the scroll wheel. There is no resistance in the scroll wheel that I have felt on other Logitech mice. There is none of the subtle clicking that gives the user some idea of how much the wheel is scrolling.

Because there is no "touch" to the scroll wheel I found this mouse unusable. I am disappointed in this model because the five or six other Logitech mice I have used have been perfect
