Wonderful camera with incredible resolution. I'm a long time computer buff, so I know what I'm talking about. I got this new for $30.00 and use it all the time on my laptop. Works PERFECTLY with Skype and I talk with distant family members everyday. Don't bother with more expensive cameras unless you're some kind of "professional-type" webcam person. This one clips on, loads up and runs great.

I got this as a gift for my Dad, so this is based on the handful of times I got to use it while I was staying at his house.

We used this to talk to my cousin in Iraq via Skype, and it worked well. The picture look great on my Dad's laptop (which was running Windows XP). I think any picture issues across Skype were because of internet issues in Iraq. The wide angle lens let most if not all of our family (20+ people) into the camera frame. The only time she ever complained about the audio was when we were all talking to her at the same time, and even then she could usually pick out a persons question or comment. That was usually the person speaking the loudest or closest to the camera/mic.

I didn't get to explore the included software much 'cause I was usually in a rush to get the camera working to talk to my cousin.

It worked wonderfully and helped make for an amazing Christmas day!

I am an older non-techie, and I installed this webcam easily with Skype. Picture quality is good, sound excellent. Although I have no experience with other webcams, I would recommend this Logitech model without qualification.

My laptop is 4 years old, but the webcam performance is still good running on Windows XP. I also installed this webcam on another computer and made an error (mine) and needed to contact Logitech via email. It took several messages for Logitech to understand my question, but I was satisfied with response time and ultimate result.

Works great but... If you are using Vista, DO NOT use the install CD. Instead, go to the Logitech site and download the install for Vista. I used the CD and got into an infinite loop of it trying to install and never completing. Had to use MSCONFIG to stop the install from loading before I could uninstall the webcam software. The Vista install from the Internet worked with no problem. I'd give the product 5 stars if the install wasn't messed up for Vista (but then, Vista is messed up itself!!!).

The picture on this is really good even when using my wireless card! Easy to use, install and travels great! I would buy it again.

As a whole, I'd say its just okay. The picture quality itself is very dark and does not pick up the lighting in the room very well at all. Obviously that is a big factor. Installation and ease of use is pretty much perfect. Sound quality has not received any complaints. Overall for what you're paying its a pretty good deal, just make sure you plan to use it in extremely well lit rooms.

This cam crashes my computer the moment I plug it in!!! I can install all the software, but then when it comes time to plug the cam itself into the computer... CRASH!!! I get the blue screen of death. very disappointing.

I bought this item with the knowledge of reading up on it, the facts, etc, thinking it was going to be a great item. I was so disappointed. Money wasted, do not bother using it or purchasing it. The different levels it has, none of them work, if you keep adjusting it, it gets blurrier and blurrier. I did not want to spend my money on something expensive but now after getting this Logitech it did not work so now I wasted money that I should not have.

Got this for my daughter for socializing and tutoring opportunities. She loves it and I like the basic operation of it - simple! It's a good purchase.

I returned to get the Pro cam...its only 20 bucks more, but worth it. This one is way too hazy....bettr to buy the 20 $ cameras, than this one with 50$
