I use this webcam for my laptop and my PC, and it works perfectly! The CD was outdated, so I went to the logitech website and just downloaded the newest version for it. My laptop has Windows Vista on it, and it works perfectly, no problem at all. My PC is Windows XP and it works perfectly also, so either way, this webcam is a good deal! I recommend completely, 100%! It's great for video calls on msn, stickam, yahoo, and aol. The quality isn't that great on aol, and it's really good on msn and stickam. Great job Logitech!

Finally, after three webcams, this one finally works out of the box on Ubuntu 8.04. Both the cam and microphone work on Skype. At $32, wish Amazon had a better discount though. Tried both MS VX-1000 and QuickCam Connect, neither worked properly as of 8/2008.

This product was listed as new--yet the audio cuts in and out and I have to restart my skype so that the other person can even HEAR me. Not sure if this product is defective--or if it's the brand itself. Would not recommend it though

This camera is pretty good considering the price. My only issue is that I have to constantly adjust it so it can stay on my laptop. Other than that, its doable.

This camera works on OSX with a sourceforge driver. The image quality isn't bad, but the refresh rate is very slow and the microphone, from what I'm told, is difficult to hear. I have to use a separate usb mic in conjunction with it. Still, not a bad purchase considering it doesn't claim Mac compatibility and it was less than $35.

It is hard to give this a great or a bad review, so I am going with neutral, since it appears to work, but with somewhat mediocre internet connectivity it varies, so it is hard to say. However on a normal flat screen it was a little difficult to get to stay attached to the screen, which was sort of an annoyance. Still, easy setup with software and getting in with different types of webcam programs.

This is a good external camera if you're running Windows. I usually work on Macs but needed something for when I use Windows and this does the job nicely.

This is a nice and simple webcam. It gets the job done, and is easy to setup. Highly recommended for those who need a very simple user friendly device.

This webcam is simply so easy a caveman could use it (wow that sounded corny). Anyway, the sound is a little scratchy. The picture quality is average at best; it's very fuzzy. Plus, there are not many features. By features I mean webcam settings, special effects, etc. It is just okay.

I specifically bought the Quickcam because it says that it was compatible with Windows Vista. It worked for a while, but it is VERY finicky. Everytime Windows would update the computer the drivers would not work, and I'd have to reinstall. After SEVERAL reinstall attempts I finally get the webcam working. However, now for the third time it has failed, and I am no longer able to update. When I go to Logitech website to find updated drivers, there aren't any. Then it says this camera is out of date - to purchase a new one. On the box it says compatible with Vista - what gives!

I've bought a Microsoft cam - going to see if this works better. Don't buy logitech - the support [...]
