Wonderful Keyboard,

I just had to let everyone know how pleased I have been with this keyboard. When my Compaq keyboard went out I panicked! I knew I needed a keyboard asap, but I knew I had wanted one that was quiet as well. So I went to the local Fry's to try some out. I was trying out the so-called "quiet" keyboards and they just didn't seem too quiet. They were also very pricey. So I decided to check on some of the cheaper models for now, and then I figured I could upgrade later. I saw this keyboard and was amazed. It is so quiet and so comfortable, which is such a big plus because I am typing all day every day. I have never had a better keyboard, and I can't believe it is such a great deal! I would have paid the price just to have the keyboard, but all the additional quick keys are great! I can access my email, my volume, favorites, music, and messenger services with one touch. The scrolling button is VERY neat! I won't have any need to upgrade this keyboard, it is a dream. I recommend this keyboard to everyone!

Where have you been all my life,

Since I build PC's as a hobby I have run into so many types of keyboards that I often times wonder why I have yet to get one of these multi purpose models. Previously I made do with a basic Dell Quietkey that was ok cept for the defective spacebar. Yet I decided to try a better keyboard when I saw this model advertised on TechTV. Similar to the Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard both offer multi colored layouts with programmable hotkeys for Internet Tools, Search Buttons, Webcam and Audio Controls. The Logitech Keyboard however offers a scroll wheel that gives you extra control to navigate web pages and other long forms with ease. The Hotkeys are easily programmed and work seamlessly with my KVM switch; this is a great feature since I use both Windows XP and Win2000. The keystrokes are smooth, offering a light quiet touch to ease typing. The Keyboard come with a USB connector but Logitech includes a color keyed PS/2 adaptor that work very well if you want to use a more traditional 6 pin connector. The feature I enjoy most are the audio controls that allow you to pick any multimedia player from Winamp to Windows Media Player and control the volume as well as pause or jump to another song. This feature comes in handy when you have a hundred or more MP3's you want to listen to without having to switch between apps. Overall a good buy from a great company. They also make a black model but that one is a bit more pricey.

Very Nice!,

I use a Dell Quiet Key at work, and then I would come home and use a cheap, loud, flimsy keyboard at home. I hated it! So I was pretty sure that this keyboard would be an improvement at the least, if not quite up to par with the Dell. What a pleasant surprise! This keyboard is head and shoulders above any I've ever used, including the Dell. I LOVE the extra features such as the media control buttons and the internet function keys. I didn't think I would use them at all, but I use them all the time. Who would've thought a keyboard would improve my surfing experience? I would recommend this to anyone with confidence.

Great For Basic Normal Use. However, Has Flaws.,
By
This review is from: Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard (Personal Computers)
I've had this keyboard for a few weeks and overall, the good thing about the keyboard is that it is a great overall keyboard. The keys are relatively soft to the touch, pretty quiet, but not much of a difference to my old one that came with the cpu. It does not affect my typing at the least, the wrist rest an appreciated extra because my last keyboard, however, I wish the wrist wrest was made from a softer material. The media buttons are nice, but I would rather have the volume control knob instead. Also, the media button also gives you the option to choose which media player you want. Can't program. So basically, its a push and click away, not just a push of a button that I want it to be.
If you are planning to use this keyboard mainly for normal typing and functions of a keyboard, than its as good as it comes. There is also a small scroller on the left part of the keyboard if you look at the picture of it. However, if you have a mouse with a scroller already, this wouldn't be used much. However, here are the flaws: -Have problem with putting cpu on safemode using this keyboard. F8 doesn't work. -The term internet navigator only seems to work for my Internet Explorer and not for other kind of browsers like Avant/Firefox/ETC. So if you are using it, there goes many of those extra keys on this keyboard, especially the ones at the top right. -Volume control tends to cause minor lag to cpu. I have a 2.5 GHZ 1.5 GB DDR cpu. It especially shows when you are using the windows media player, you'll see it. -I can't seem to configure many of the so called configurable keys, like the webcam. -Sometimes upon startup, the keyboard's media and top left and right controls don't work. Maybe there's more but thats all I use. So I have to reboot the computer in order to get it back. -The new extra keys make the keyboard look...more high tech and gives it a look of higher value than what it does cost. However, most of it will be useless because the average user would rather just click on what they need than find the key on the keyboard...THE MANY KEYS ON THE KEYBOARD. -F lock makes it more complicated. There's more about this, but for you to find out. HOWEVER...HOWEVER. For the price (I bought this keyboard, BRAND NEW IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX WITH EVERYTHING, for $11 total!) this is definately...definately a good keyboard. If you use IE, than that just means you have the use of nearly all of the keys on this keyboard and can take advantage of its function completely. And maybe the problems I have is just me and my computer. Its a pretty good looking keyboard and you should be very happy with it for the money. Good day to all.

Cool keyboard,

Ok, I wanted a new keyboard to replace mine on my HP Pavilion. So, I did research and I at first wanted the Elite model of the keyboard, but it was close to $... dollars. I saw this one on sale at Staples for $..., and I bought it. I like this one because there are only a few differences between them both...for one is the color. The volume is a little more digital than the elite model. Other than that, this one is the same exact one. I took it home and it works so good on Windows XP, where I had a hard time finding converters to get my old keyboard to work on Windows XP. Not only that, but it is comfortable to type on my Logitech keyboard. I am never buying Microsoft keyboards again. Logitech is my choice on keyboards.

The Logitech Internet Navigator is a really nice keyboard, but a bit on the big side. I have used it with Windows XP, and Linux (The special feature keys don't work with linux). Having the scroll wheel on the keyboard is a great feature. Another nice feature is the volume control.

Beware the F-Lock,
By
This review is from: Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard (Personal Computers)
This is the Microsoft Word equivalent of a keyboard - tons and tons of features, most of which you'll never use. And like Word's Office Assistant, some of the features are downright annoying. And unlike Office Assistant, you can't turn them off. My biggest gripe is with the automatic override of the function keys. By default, all function keys are mapped to some macro such as opening "My Computer" or "Send". This functionality is toggled by a hard button called F-Lock, however, the default for the F-Lock is off (enabling the macros) and there's no way to make it default to on.
In theory, you can override this behavior through the iTouch software, but that only works for single keystrokes. In other words, you can override the functionality of the F4 key, but not Alt-F4 which I use constantly. You HAVE to turn the F-Lock on to re-enable that functionality and you HAVE to do it every time you reboot. Another minor annoyance is the presence of a suspend button on the keyboard. On more than one occasion I've shut down my computer on accident when a book leaned up against the keyboard. On the plus side, I do have to admit that I'm addicted to the extra buttons which I've mapped to my webmail server and daily read sites. The programmability of these buttons is a very smart move.

This is a great keyboard. Very quiet. I haven't had any problems except when I hit return, sometimes I accidentally hit the "\" key. But that's no big deal. Keyboard's definitely worth the money.

Standard keys don't work in standard fashion,
This review is from: Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard (Personal Computers)
It's great if a keyboard adds value by providing additional features and capabilities, but it is totally unacceptable to do so at the cost of making it incompatible with standard keyboards. The fact that you have to hit the F-Lock key every time you want standard keys to behave in the standard fashion is 100% unacceptable. I cannot imagine any experienced computer users finding this desirable. (On the other hand, if you never learned to use the keyboard shortcuts, I suppose it doesn't matter.) Logitech, add all the keys you want--but ensure that the function keys (including alt+ and ctrl+ function keys) work by default the way they are supposed to. (Logitech claims you can modify your configuration to make it behave in a standard fashion, but this doesn't apply to any of the alt+ or ctrl+ function keys. Additionally, the default should be to behave in the standard fashion in the first place.)

Navigator is the best!,
By Black Cat de La Bear "see that dark shape o'r... (those dark halls) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard (Personal Computers)
I have had my Navigator since 2001 and I have had absolutely no problems(safemode is oddly accessed by left crt). The keys are not quiet compared to newer models, but I don't like mushy hard to push keys(like this HP I am typing at now at the folk's house). THe Logitech Navagator makes a nice easy 'click' when pushing the keys(that I personally like, but most of you don't) the keys give little resistance and will always execute the function never do you have to "Pound" the key to get it to work as I've heard of the new Logitech Elite which I'm buying for my new PC but will probably cancel after hearing of it's terrible F-lock and stiff keys. If you do a lot of typing or are single(as not to wake up your spouse/roomate/child/angry father ect in bed) and play a lot of games this is perfect. The problem lies in the retarded display of CAP ON CAP OFF when playing games you get kicked out of the games so you must turn this display off to enjoy games(and not corrupt your files in games). I've heard logitech also promotes spyware but it can be easily disabled with Adaware or spybot.
