LogiCrap indeed,

So since some people need a little more clarification...
I liked these headphones. I felt the sound quality is good enough, since i'm no audiophile. The loops that go over your ear are a bit annoying however. Though today, I slightly pulled apart the headphones to fit on my ears. I did not put over my head. And they snapped right in half. Looking at the plastic, it is stressed with cracks all along the plastic part, and i'm surprised they even lasted the 3 months I had these. Don't bother purchasing these headphones.

Snapped after 2 Months of Office Use,

I'm an audiophile but wanted to listen to music at my desk at work and still be able to engage in conversation, so sound quality was last of my concerns. I wanted headphones that looked really nice, weren't big, and that I could hear around.
I got what I wanted, until about a week after I began using them I found that they slid off my ears relatively easily and then, two short months after I ordered them and used them only at my desk at work (they were tethered to my G5) they snapped in half. Overall the sound quality wasn't terrible (wasn't great either), but not enough attention was paid to engineering the phones to work on a person's head, and the plastic used to fabricate them is of an appallingly low quality. I bought a pair for my mom after getting mine and now will be buying her something else before hers break, too. I would never encourage anyone to buy these. Even if the sound quality were perfect, who cares if they're duct taped behind your head?

Sounds Great but not for big heads,

Sound quality is very good...they look cool too. Great for women, children and men with smaller heads. The plastic will snap if pulled apart too far.

Around the back of your neck!,
This review is from: Logitech Curve Headphones for MP3 - Lime (Electronics)
This is a simple response to the reviewer Justin C. Samsel, whom stated the following; "Purchased this hi-tech, alien looking headphones not two months ago and the headphones have already snapped from stress midway across the thingee that goes over your head."
The "thingee" part of these headphones are designed to go "around the back of your neck"! No wonder they snapped in half after forcing them over your head!

Fine For the Price,
This review is from: Logitech Curve Headphones for MP3 - Lime (Electronics)
I've had the clear version for about 6 months now and use them occasionally with my computer to listen to music or play games. The quality is fine - they haven't broken yet nor has the foam fallen off. They clip fairly easily to the ears and I've found them to be comfortable for long term use (4+ hours using them, for example).
One drawback for me is that they do have a very short cord (likely due to them being meant for portable devices). The cord also doesn't coil or roll up so it can get in the way often. For the price, they have done what I've asked and the quality is fine. They do surprisingly cut out a lot of background noise despite not being a very close fit to the ear.

These are my favorite headphones,

The first time I purchased these was in 2005. Newegg stopped selling these so now I will buy them here. Don't believe the poor reviews. The quality is good, they last as long as any other pair of headphones.
They stay on well when running (trails mostly, 6-8 mi 6:30 pace). I have even used them at work back when I was a MIG Welder--they they fit perfectly behind my welding helmet, and were loud enough to hear over the weld static WHILE wearing OSHA ear-plugs! They also clean up much better than most headphones, I would literally wash them off every day with lava soap and they held-up just fine. In other words the quality is great. When I first purchased them, I was curious about how these would feel, but they feel much better than normal over-the-head headphones. Their ear-pads are especialy nice, as they are super soft with a velvety soft texture. Sleek design, extremely comfortable fit, WATERPROOF!!, LOUD and CLEAR sound, extra microfoam pads and earhuggers, (changing pads and ear-huggers is not difficult--despite what other reviewers may have said). Way to go Logitech! PS These headphones arch behind your neck, not over your head...

Fragile but I love them,

I have had two pair of these, and I am hoping to get several more (currently looking)...each pair lasted me about 1 year. I got them for only $5 each, so at that price they are well worth it to me, but I probably wouldn't pay much more due to the fact they do break. My last pair just broke today. I use them at work almost daily, so I am not surprised they only lasted about a year each. The plastic in the back is very fragile and has many stress fractures in it, but the sound quality is excellent. The sound is crisp and clear with not too much bass. I work at an architecture firm and have gotten many compliments on the style. I would highly recommend for the sound quality, but not for reliability. If you can find them for cheap (around $5) buy like 6 and just replace them when they break. The sound quality and style make it worth it.

Complete lack of quality,

Logitech has done it again. They lured me in with something shiney at a low price point and I took the bait, hook line and sinker. These are the worst quality headphones I've owned since my sony walkman replacement fuzzies way back in the early 80s. The sound is small and easily distorted and they are an engineering disaster.
These headphones use a clear plastic strap to keep tension on the ears holding the speakers on your head. This is not only seriously uncomfortable but after a week of use, my headphones are completely and cleanly broken in two! Logitech, which used to be, and still is in some unenlightened circles, the industry standard, has removed all quality from their products, and these trendy headphones are a sterling example of this. I could pursue the warranty, but at under $10 I'm just going to call it a wash and lesson learned...again.

For $10-15, these really do the trick. Sound quality is considerably better than all of the in-ear headphones I've used (spend up to $30 for those). Decently comfortable, pretty good on the go, and cheap enough that whenever they do break, I'll have felt I got my money's worth. Plus, the ugly green color really does it for me, but that's my own disreputable taste at work.

Logicrap (in my opinion),
This review is from: Logitech Curve Headphones for MP3 - Lime (Electronics)
Purchased this hi-tech, alien looking headphones not two months ago and the headphones have already snapped from stress midway across the thingee that goes over your head.
Sound reproduction was good for what consumers pay. Weak or totally absent low and high end frequencies, but decent enough to enjoy for casual listening. Cord was ridiculously short (about 3') for most places of use so I had to buy an extension. The quality is comparable to most other Logicrap computer peripherals. I would not recommend this purchase. |
