5.0 out of 5 stars A great keyboard w/o frills
This thing takes a beating and keeps on ticking. The keys are rated for like a million keystrokes a piece. There is one problem: you have to decide right away whether you want the arm rest attatched or not, because once you put it on, its impossible to take off w/o breaking a piece of it. Trust me. But, its the arm rest that breaks, not the outstanding keyboard.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice basic keyboard, July 26, 2001

When I ordered ths keyboard, I wasn't expecting much. However, Logitech delivered a nice product, with a modern, streamlined design. The keys are tactile, yet quiet while typing. If you need a cheap replacement to a keyboard, this might be the one.

The only reason I gave this keyboard a 4 was, while taking off the wrist guard, one of the tabs broke off. Sad, I had only owned it for 6 hours when it happened.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's the most comfortable keyboard, but it lacks in features, March 3, 2001

Old 101/102 keyboards put the strain for my wrists. As a student, and later as a technical writer I used to type for hours a day. This keyboard by Logitech offers you a constant rest for the hands. Blood circulation is not stalled, you don't have to stretch muscles of the hands to adjust to the small space and angle of the kyeboard. I have tried this keyboard and let me tell you that this is THE most comfortable keyboard I have ever typed my stuff on. The main advantage is the large plastic wrist-pad. I haven't seen a larger one, although I try every new keyboard that goes into the market. Highly recommended for people with blood-circulation problems and for those who have to type a lot, for hours a day.

Unfortunately, it lacks features so many other keyboards have. Multimedia buttons, customizable shortcut buttons and volume knob are the features this keyboard could have, but it doesn't. Nevertheless, if you are concerned with your health, buy this one. It's not as expensive as keyboards by other vendors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Keyboard, April 18, 2002
This review is from: Logitech Deluxe Access 104 Keyboard (Personal Computers)
Logitech is the only brand that I will trust with a keyboard. I had owned many generic brand keyboards over the years and I decided that enough was enough when I discovered this Logitech keyboard. The quality surpasses all other keyboards that I have owned and I am typing much happier because of this wonderful keyboard. This keyboard is very inexpensive and is a must have for any home or office computer. It is super easy to install and will make your typing needs much easier without stress. I recommend this keyboard to anybody that is in need of a great quality keyboard. Use this well.

Happy Typing!

5.0 out of 5 stars No Complaints - Great Value, April 8, 2002

I bought this keyboard b/c the keys are very quiet - this means I won't wake up the roommates when I'm typing late at night.

The three quick-launch buttons work well and provide convenience - other than that, the keyboard is rather plain but wins first prize in the "best bargain" category.

Some reviewers mentioned they had trouble taking the wrist guard on and off. I had no trouble - the trick is to squeeze the connecting tabs as you remove the wrist guard. It's like opening a child-proof pill container.

This keyboard is great. It came with a computer I bought and I haven't had a single problem with it at all. I do multiple things on my computer, such as typing papers, designing websites, and gaming where you need to react quickly, and this keyboard fits every need perfectly. It is very comfortable and includes a wrist rest, although I don't use it. The keyboard itself also includes three customizable button that you can set to open your home page, e-mail program/website, and search engine. You can set these to just about any program or website you want, however, so you could have the search engine button open your AOL Instant Messager if you would prefer, for example. Although it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles of more expensive products, I recommend this keyboard due to its excellent performance, comfort, and low price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best current generation keyboard on the market., June 10, 2003

This Logitech keyboard is truly the best feeling keyboard I've come across for a while. I love everything about, especially these days when manufacturers keep adding more and more buttons that just clutter the designs and get in the way of it's main function: typing!

I am a serious computer user, and I was sad to find out that logitech discontinued the design for a new more ergonomic model. The problem I have with the newer model is that the spacebar is way too narrow. I'm sure they did this to lesson the throw for the keys, but I don't think that I'll ever get used to it. However this model is perfect and I highly recommend that you purchase a new one on ebay. It should run you about $15 shipped on ebay, and it's worth more than double that in my opinion. Email me with any questions.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with the keyboard., August 21, 2002

I purchased the logitech keyboard expecting a high quality product, but I am disappointed. As an experienced typist, I type with my eyes on the screen or the document, not on the keyboard. I noticed 2 major problems with the keyboard.

1. The navigation keys on the right (Insert, Delete, PgUp, Pgdn) are smaller than standard size, apparently to make space for the 3 internet access keys. Big mistake!! Every time I try to delete something or go up on the page, I miss the key, because it is so small, I end up hitting the other two keys, including PgDn. The F1-F12 keys are also smaller (smaller than the fingertips) again making it harder to find them by "feel", a key aspect to TOUCH-typing.

2. Another major problem: The keys are "squishy" and "flimsy". Hard to feel if the key has been "pressed" as there is no good, crisp feel when the switch has been made. With the extra "give" past the switch point, my hands got tired easy after just a paragraph or 2 and battling all the errors that occur in every other word. I am impressed with all the "bells and whistles" manufacturers add to their products, but not if they do this at the expense of some basic necessary features
that interfere with the basic utility and function of the product.
