Close to perfection....Things you don't know about this unit...,

Pros: Everything is customizable
comfortable to hold Helpful customer service Cons: Battery Guzzler (light can be turned off) Free customer service only good for 90 days, so abuse it!! Delay when turning multi devices on. No power button for individual devices I will tell you things about this remote that other reviewers might not mentioned. 1. Be ready to spend alot of time tweaking this remote if you have a more complex entertainment system. For example, I have a projector that required you to power off twice. i had to call customer service to figure out how to do it but it is possible. 2. Battery Guzzler: Customer service said the blue light is what drained the battery. The light illuminates whenever you push any of the "one touch" button. The light can be turn off where you can manually turn it on by pushing the "glow" button. Under normal use on automatic, you're look at 2-3 weeks of battery life. On manually, you're looking at about 2 months. Another way to save battery is to use a second remote like your Tv remote for more active activities. Having 2 active remotes is better than 5+ remotes and save battery. If not, go and spend $100+ on their rechargeable model. 3. Delay when turning multi devices on: It takes a good 5+ seconds for the remote to slowly turn all your devices on and changing to the proper inputs. It is not perfect. If you don't aim at the right angle, it might misses a device then you have to go through the "help" button. So know where to aim! 4. No power button for individual devices: Every device you add in your list, there is no default power button. You have to go to "customize" to create your own power button.

One of the best remotes I have ever used!,

I was on the fence about getting a universal remote and I didnt want to spend $150-$200 on the harmony one so I settled on the 670. It looks like my Tivo remote so I figured it would work the same way. Actually it works better. I have a home theater, TV, DVR, and blu-ray programmed to it and everyhting works perfectly. It took me all of 45 minutes to set up and it hasnt looked back. I was a little nervous buying refurbished but the remote only cost me $50 so for the price, the risk was well worth it. Buying refurbished, you still get the same warranty from Logitech as well!! My wife is able to use this remote with no problems and since we like our room dark when viewing TV the light up feature is a plus. Make sure you have your model numbers for your units handy when you begin programming and make sure you take the time to customize your settings for your activities and for each unit being controlled. It will make your life a whole lot easier.

Works like a charm,

I bought the refurb version from Amazon along with the Playstation 3 adapter. Now I no longer have to fumble around with 4 remotes to get everything working the way I want it to. I have a TV, Home Theater, DVR Cable Box and the PS3, and the Harmony was a breeze to set up. The included software found all my models and programming was a snap. I held off for so long because Harmonys were not compatible with the PS3, but now I am so glad to have one. My only minor complaints are that the navigation buttons are slightly cramped and I wish the keys had more of a "clicky" microswitch feel that the navigation buttons have. Nonetheless, it is a well built product that will make leisure time just that more enjoyable. The refurb model is a steal to boot.

If you are like me and have a mother who always wants the newest AV gear but can't figure out how to use it, this is the remote for you. Works great, and is easily customizable. I have yet to find a device I could not get this to work with.

We bought a new Harmony 670 Remote because our old one was falling apart. After two months, the new one is even worse: loose pieces rattling inside, "System Error" or "Replace Batteries" or just nothing on the display. Want to bet it's unreturnable?

Replaced my lost Dish remote,

We lost most of our remotes when we moved so we needed an all in one remote. Our setup is JVC TV, Harmon Kardon Receiver, PS3, XBOX 360, Psyclone PSC01 switchbox, and Dish ViP622. Easy to program the basic part. I had to customize the "WATCH TV" button to include the switchbox since the Dish is plugged in to it. Now everything is set. I just push "Watch TV" and it turns everything on to where it needs to be including the switchbox! I can't believe I had to use at least 2 remotes just to watch tv before (stereo receiver remote, dish remote for dish and tv, and the switchbox remote).
I docked the rating one star because of the layout. This model advertises itself for DVR devices. The layout isn't as DVR friendly as the Dish Network remote. The GUIDE button shouldn't be blended in with all of the other buttons.

Excellent product. This remote's layout is designed especially for those who have a DVR or TIVO. It sets up easily with your computer. Help, if needed, is just a phone call away.

This was a replacement for an earlier model. It has more buttons, and therefore didn't require as much custom programming. I LOVE logitech's remotes and wouldn't be without them. If you're not intimidated by programing a remote via the Internet then this is the last one you'le ever need. I bought this refurbished from Amazon and I couldn't tell it wasn't new.

I really like my Harmony remote. Easy to program, but it goes thru batteries quickly. Make sure you have rechargeables, or you will be spending $$$.
