If you have a Harmony 1 you better examine the battery. Mine was about 4 years old and started not holding a charge. I had to pry out the old battery which was swollen so much I think it would have eventually exploded. I never saw anything like this before on a rechargable battery. If yours is getting up in years consider replacing it.

This is advertised as genuine Logitech battery but it's a generic fake one. It works so far and hopefully won't explode.
I hope the seller gets honest and at least clarifies its a fake one.

The good thing about this battery is that it's a GREAT replacement battery. And if you're reading this, it's because you've discovered that Logitech has a nasty little design flaw in their remotes, and you need to replace your battery,. So absolutely, this is the one to get. And here's how to make it your last one (other than offing your Logitech remotes...which, I admit, I thought about).

Here's what Logitech is loathe to admit - those cool chargers/storage stations for your remote? If the remote is in it, it's being charged. If your battery is at 100%, doesn't matter. Voltage is still flowing through. And...here's a shocker - batteries don't really like that. Over time, they start to swell. REALLY swell. And then they start to send excess voltage across the device, resulting in really bizarre things happening to your remote.

The fix? Since Logitech isn't going to do what's right (and replace your charging station with a trickle version), you simply do NOT keep the remote on the charging station until your battery indicator turns red. Then, charge it. Overnight even...but the next day, pull it off the station and keep it off until your indicator goes back to red. That's all there is to it....and you're done replacing batteries for your Logitech remote.

This was an inexpensive replacement for my Harmony 880 remote battery. However after only a handful of months of light usage, the battery no longer accepted any charge. Beware of this battery, it does not last very long at all.

My harmony remote wasn't holding charge after about 3 years of daily use. Ordered this battery over the logitech one which was more than twice the price. Works fine. I had to use a piece of paper to push the battery against the contacts in the remote but hasn't given me any trouble for the last 5 weeks now and charges quickly.

My remote was acting funny lately. It lost its charge and it was having connection issues with the base. The charging base is a whole other story, but if I do not position the remote perfectly on the base it will not charge the battery at all. And by perfect I mean you could blow on the remote and it will lose its connection with the base.

Anyway, I figured I owned it for over 5 years and it was time to replace the battery.

This battery works as it should. Got the remote to connect to the base after 5 minutes of trying to position it correctly (damn you Logitech and your horribly constructed base that you will not replace!)

I wish the price was a little lower for this battery though.

If you think about it, the cost is about 25% of purchasing a brand new remote.

Overall, it works great, and I would recommend if you need a replacement battery.

My original battery started failing and would keep a charge for less than one day. This one lasts for days before I need to recharge. I highly recommend it! (Note: others have mentioned it is not a genuine Logitech battery, but mine has the Logitech logo in it.)

I am so glad I read other reviews for this battery. Many mentioned that their old battery, the one that came with the remote (Harmony One), had swollen inside the remote. This lead me to check the old battery in mine, and sure enough, it had swollen and I had to use needle nose pliers to remove it. Had I not read the reviews others left, I probably would have put off buying a new battery, because the old one losing charge more quickly was just an annoyance.

The new battery is already better. I left if off of the charging cradle overnight just to see what kind of charge it would keep, and in the morning, it is still showing as full. The old one would have been completely dead if it were left off the cradle overnight. Very pleased with the new one.

I purchased this battery as a replacement for my Harmony One, which was failing to hold a charge for more then half a day over the last few weeks. Like others, upon examining the existing battery I noticed that it was hard to remove and that the battery had begun to bulge. I had to use a small flat head screwdriver to push down the battery along with some needle nose pliers to pull it out.

The capacity of the battery I received looks like it's slightly smaller then the original based on the markings, however the battery works fine and again my Harmony lasts days without having to place it back on the charging cradle. The markings on my battery all say Logitech, so i'm unsure if others have gotten other generic batteries or if this is some knockoff, however everything is working great and as far as i'm concerned it's a worthwhile replacement at a great price.
