Exactly what I wanted,

The keyboard provides excellent tactile feedback, which makes typing very easy. Connecting was as simple as plugging in the USB cable. The special buttons, such as music player, mail, home, calculator and the media control buttons worked immediately on my Fujitsu tablet computer. I did not have to install any software to make these functions work.

Finally a USB keyboard without all the extra junk on it that never gets used.
I mainly use the volume controls, the mute button and the calculator button. It has some others for mail and internet, but at work my email is open all day long and so is my web browser. Efficient and cheap functionality. What more could you ask for?

Great - but Set your expectations!,

Just wanted to set your expectations:
Logitech has built a name on quality and this is a fantastic budget keyboard. Looks sleek, feels good, expect it to last. For $9 I bought two, and can't complain. This probably meets the needs of 90% of people. For less than $20 I doubt you can beat this buy. However, it is NOT a $50-$100 Logitech or Microsoft keyboard! If thats what your expecting,it feels cheap when you pull it out of the box. The key weight/response is a touch light/slow. The hot-keys don't work out-of-box in linux (were you expecting them too?). Also this keyboard does not come with a mouse, unless explicitly advertised by the retailer, but not for $9 and not from RitzCamera. Bottom line: If you want a budget keyboard, buy this one, it's a quality-bargain in-class. If you buy this expecting the feel of an $80 keyboard, you will realize you got what you paid for.

I am a software developer and I own 3 of these. I seriously doubt if you could beat it for the money. I use it with a Mac at my 2 homes and with a PC running XP at work with no issues. It is a very natural feeling keyboard. Get one!

It seems to be well built, but I do find myself having to bang on some of the keys rather more than usual to register. Especially for upper case. And I'm a heavy hitter of the keys too! But otherwise fine, and for the price is great. I'd resent paying more than $30 on other keyboards that only cost a few bucks to make.

I genuinely prefer a keyboard with a cabled usb connector for my desktop computer use. For a living room media center, I could see switching to wireless, but with all of the batteries that I seemingly waste on so many "wireless" electronics that I use on a daily basis, I go through a carton of AA's every month or two. So much so that I recently replaced my whole wireless desktop with this keyboard and a microsoft intellimouse.
I also really like the key response. some keyboards have a loud clicking response which I used to think I liked, until I worked in a lab full of clicking keyboards back in school. These keys have a very deliberate motion, without being too hard to push, and most importantly, I can type relatively silent. This keyboard is the best deal I've found, except for the keyboard that I bought for $6 that I realized only after using it for awhile, that some of the keys were in spanish (which is kinda novel, and not a big deal, like caps lock is Bloqueo de mayusculas). I will definitely use this keyboard as the standard for all my studio machines.

I have purchased dozens of these for work. Dont really use all the functions on the keyboard but they feel great to type on. Very quiet and responsive. We have been using the Belkin keyboards but are switching to this Logitech model.

I love this keyboard! For the price, you cannot beat it. Here's my take:
Pros: 1. Quiet keys. Not the clickety-clickety-clickety of other keyboards. These are pretty nice and quiet. 2. Soft keystrokes, yet not mushy. 3. USB! (My other KBs were PS/2...) 4. Volume controls! I love having these. It's why I took this one over the standard keyboard. 5. Solid construction. I'm not concerned about durability at all. Cons: None that I can think of.

I searched and searched for a 'really good' keyboard for my high-end computer, because I wanted something flashy and easy to press. Well, I finally decided on this one. Why? Because it's perfectly simple with just the right amount of keys, and it feels awesome! I have this exact same keyboard at work, I wouldn't trade it for the $50 Sa*t*k! The shiny black bezel along the sides really finish it off. Works flawlessly in Vista Ultimate x64.

Hi! This keyboard is easy to install, works perfectly with WindowsXP, has a solid feel to it, and has function buttons (e.g. home page, calculator, search) that are very useful.
I switched from a PS2 keyboard to this USB keyboard and my USB mouse seems to function faster (my imagination?). |
