Nice Package - Questionable Contents,

This review is from: Logitech Mobile Express Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I was excited to find a sub $40 blue tooth headset...especially from a brand name like Logitech. I have several of their other products and have been quite happy with them as an organization. Although it will take more than one bad experience to turn from Logitech, this purchase left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth.
The functionality is great. Pairs extremely well with my LG VX8100 from Verizon. However, the sound and mic quality are poor. The headset often has difficulty recognizing commands, especially the "YES" command. Frustrating to say the least. I also have had several complaints about the sound quality, from "you sound muffled" to "you sound like you are at the end of a tunnel". Unfortunately, I am outside the return policy. If I wasn't traveling so much I would have returned it.

Nice ergonomics. Terrible reception.,

The physical configuration of this headset is quite good and fits almost any ear comfortably. I bought two of these headsets when I saw the deep discount. Now I know why the discount is so deep. Syncing this device was easy, but after that it was all downhill. The distortion was terrible unless I was holding my phone within 6 inches of the device. I have a Samsung A900 phone -- one of the newest Bluetooth-compatible phones out there. My wife as a brand new Blackberry and she had the same results. This is a cheap headset that is apparently also cheaply made. I would not recommend it.

just a toy,

This review is from: Logitech Mobile Express Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Cons:
1. The sound quality is so poor 2. Have to speak very loudly when using my cell phone 3. Takes time to get paired up with other devices Pros: it works anyway, with my T-610 cell phone, my pda and my computer if you just want a toy, it's fine; if you want something more, forget about it.

Poor design, quality, and service,

Quality:
The first version I bought from best buy would not enter pairing mode. The replacement paired with my blackberry after a few attempts. Service: Customer service at Logitech was less than informed or helpful with the pairing problem. Design: Notice the pictures do not highlight the earpiece. It has a plastic cover that is easily scratched and peeled off the underlying speaker component. If you plan to put the headset in your pocket when not using it, you have to treat it like a fragile piece of jewelry, i.e., wrap it up or put it in a case. Otherwise, the earpiece cover will quickly be damaged and fall off. Returning the second one was difficult since a month had passed when the earpiece cover ripped off. Again, Logitech customer service provided little to no assistance. I highly recommend any brand but Logitech for your next headset. Good luck.

Not a good buy,

I have been very dissatisfied with this headset, first of all, the battery life is terrible. I can't use it for a long time at once, after about 30 mins, I get a "weak signal" alert on my phone. The audio quality is also bad as I have to keep telling the other persons to repeat themselves, and they can't hear me clearly either. Overall, I wish I could return this product, and would definitely recommend against buying it.

works great with v3r, v3t,

Bought two of these for the low price. Charged them for 8 hours before use. Read the quick start guide and they both synchronized quickly. One to a motorola v3r and one to a v3t. Reception and distance are both very good. I don't keep it on continually and my battery has gone the last 6 days without a recharge. The large button is easy to find and the small button is not difficult. I have worn it in my right ear for 3+ hours at a time twice and had only mild discomfort near the end of wear. I have not used it with voice dialing so I cannot comment on it. I have yet to drop a call, even with the phone 10ft away. Volume is decent with the top down in my convertible in traffic at 40mph. Great for entry level headset.

Good fit and volume, but poor audio quality,
I also bought this bluetooth headset because CompUSA had a rebate on it for the Thanksgiving holiday. I tried to look for online reviews, but at the time there were none, so I took my chances and hoped it would be a good product. I used it for a week with my Treo 650.
FIT: I prefer headsets that go in your ear (like an earbud) because it makes them feel secure, and the Mobile Express has this. Also, the rear portion of the ear hook is adjustable/bendable, which makes for a more custom fit. Overall, the fit is very solid. The unit kept in place even when I vigorously shook my head. VOLUME: The device is not lacking in this department because the speaker is actually in your ear (and not hovering above it like those of other units). I never needed to push the volume all the way up. It actually got too loud when I did. AUDIO QUALITY: I was disappointed with the audio quality of this device. I left messages to myself just to hear what it sounded like. On both ends of a call, it was mediocre if not unsatisfactory. It was like listening to a low-bitrate sound file. The "s" sounds sounded like they were "breaking apart" (they were more of a "ch" than "s"), and there is quite a bit of background white noise, which did not really seem so bad at first, but when I borrowed my coworker's Motorola headset, I was surprised to hear just how better it sounded. From then on, I couldn't help but notice the audio quality deficiencies of the Mobile Express. I was reminded with every call I made and took. After a week of use, I returned the device to CompUSA and bought a Motorola. My new one isn't as loud as the Mobile Express, and its fit isn't as solid, but at least its audio quality is much better.

Super Bluetooth,
This review is from: Logitech Mobile Express Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This item is very good. I've had it for about a week now, and its just perfect. I have bluetooth on my computer and my cell phone and I've been using it for calling people from my phone and listening to music from my computer. The item has never screwed up once. It has connected flawlessly with about 4 different phones (1 LG, 2 Motorola's, and 1 Nokia) and 3 different computers (dell, Toshiba, and a Mac).

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Logitech Mobile Express Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The price alone was enough for me to purchase this, never mind the quality. Logitech has a pretty decent reputation for computer products and since Bluetooth was a COMPUTER product first, I figured $20 was a fair price to try some new technology.
I will say that I am new to the Bluetooth game, but have been dealing with wireless networks and cordless phones for years. I don't know what I am missing, but the headset works well enough for me to have bought 3 of them, one for my father, another for my brother, and one for myself. I let them try theirs out first. We have been talking to one another with them since. I have had a few issues with the quality, but being someone who has had cordless phones for years I understand the complications that microwaves, other cordless phones, cell phones, and wireless networks can pose to any other "wireless" devices. Bottom line: if you are looking for a headset that performs flawlessly and has no interference, go wired. If you are looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth headset with above average voice quality, look no further. You can safely spend your $20 here and know that it will be well worth it.
