5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!
One thing I always hated about game consoles was the constant tripping over tangled wires. Wires intersecting each other, making a mess of things.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Product if you like buttons that stick
It's true what everyone says about this controller, it is great, has good range, feels good, no lag, excellent battery life, but the buttons stick!
I bought it a week ago and the buttons stick from the beggining. I understand Logitech is aware of this problem and they will replace the unit if your buttons stick, but it doesnt matter because the unit they will...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!, July 12, 2004

One thing I always hated about game consoles was the constant tripping over tangled wires. Wires intersecting each other, making a mess of things.

Enter the Logitech Cordless Action Controller!! This is without a doubt one of the best controllers I've ever used! The controllers is very well made. The feel of it is very natural in your hands, though slightly different than the original PS2 Dual Shock. There's a nice satin like finish that prevents alot of dirt from your hands from making the controller too slippery. There is literally no notciable lag or delay in the controller's operation. The controllers 2.4 ghz signal ensures that you won't miss any of the action. Every function of the original is reproduced faithfully. Installation is extremely simple. Plug the reciever into your PS2's controller port and simpley press the action button to get a signal. There is also a button on the reciever to make the connection if needed. The battery life (the controller takes two AA batterys) is approximatley 300 hours without the vibration mode and 50 hours with the vibration mode on. A small sacrifice to make for a great product such as this.

I really can't say enough good things about this product. It's great if you have small children in the house especially. No more worrying if they are going to trip and drag the console across the room. In fact this is such a great controller I'm considering buying a second!

4.0 out of 5 stars Better PS2 Controller than expected, October 11, 2004
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
Well you won't go too wrong with this controller here as it's performing better than any other PS2 controller I've used so far. It fits comfortably in your hands, the response time is fluid, the analog sticks and buttons perform as well as Sony's DualShock 2 if not better. My only complaint would be the D-pad. Where sony's has the 4 way d-pad protuding from the controller for better location of direction, the logitech one has 8-way pad which could hurt if you need to pinpoint a certain location and at times feels stiff. The wireless adapter is sleek and lights up green for each button press or directional change. The Vibration function is very strong and can be easily tuned off. Also the finish of the controller itself is smooth and should prevent sweaty palms. If you want the best performing controller for the PS2 and are sick of wires, then this is the only product you should spend your money on.

5.0 out of 5 stars My first 3rd party wireless controller, December 3, 2006
By
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
I have had this controller for about 3 days and I must say I am very impressed. After getting used to my Xbox 360 wireless controllers I decided to go wireless for the rest of my systems. Naturally I got the wavebird for gamecube and did some research on PS2 controllers. I have had my ps2 for almost 4 years and have never been a fan of the dual shock 2 controller as compared to xbox controller. This logitech controller is so much more comfortable than the dual shock controller. I have experimented with 4 different games with this controller and I must say I have not experienced any lag. I would take this controller over dual shock 2 controller any day. the shape of the controller is so comfortable, its hard to believe it is 3rd party. Sony should have had logitech design the ps3 controller. This controller does not feel cheap in any way. It is weighted very well and feels solid and sturdy. It has helped me become excited about my ps2 again. Anyone who is in the market for a wireless ps2 controller should pick this up. I did a ton of research on ps2 controllers before picking this up and found that this got the best reviews of any other wireless controller for ps2.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best in the market, August 25, 2004
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
I have been using this for a while and this is the best cordless controller out in the market. The battery life with just 2 AA batteries is way too good. No lagging in the gameplay at all. Very Happy with this controller.

I bought 2 of these controllers for my kids, because I didn't want cables in the middle of our Family Room nor did I want them sitting too close to the TV when they played.
This controllers are excellent. They work perfectly, they are easy to store because of the lack of cables, the weight is fine for small children, the range of the signal is more than enough and they aren't battery eaters. I use them as well and they are wonderful.
They are much better than the ones that comes with the playstations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - probably the best - 3rd Party Controller for PS2, October 17, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
After using Nintendo's Wavebird controllers with great success, I purchased 4 of these for our PS2 a while back. I love the lack of mess, entanglement, etc. with wireless controllers. These controllers require a little more time at the beginning of a game setting them up, particularly for 4 player action, but it is worth it. Basically, you have to establish a connection for Controller 1 with the small receiver (dongle) that plugs into the PS2, then plug the dongle for Controller 2 and do the same with each, until you have the amount you need. Did I mention that the dongle is small?! I love that feature. I mostly purchased the Logitech controllers for my kids to use, after thorough testing by myself, of course. ;)

In the end, I purchased Mad Catz 2.4ghz Controllers for my own use because I have big hands and have found they are superior for my needs. They work equally well, but have a much larger dongle, over twice the size of the Logitech one. Anyway, with the Logitech, so far so good, as far as durability is concerned.

This control is perfect easy to install, fluid motion no lag time. If there is a lag it
Means the batteries are low. Better response time than the control the system came
With but with no cord to tangle and its 100% PS2 compatible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Controller, August 25, 2004
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
Sorry, no technical description in this review. Just so so happy about this product.

This controller definitely doesn't insult the sensibility of the demanding gadget lover as well as gamer. My PS2's value intrinsically doubled with the addition of this option. I cannot explain how ecstatic I am about this controller in so few words.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
This controller is great. It has very good feel for my adult hands. My only complaint is that the D-Pad registers 8 directions instead of four. For a more adept person that might be great, but I often find myself going, say, down and right when I simply meant right. If I could turn that off, I'd give it 5 stars in a heartbeat.

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY nice., July 19, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller (Electronics)
Sure, a little pricey, but worth it. I did some online review hunting and this seemed to be the one to get. Was a little tricky finding it through Amazon's search, not sure why. It's great. Feels nice, substantial but not heavy, buttons don't feel cheap or gimmicky. I'll never go with a cable laden controller again. Never drops out, connection solid. No problems. Battery life is pretty sweet too.
