I purchased this camera for use with Skype to make video calls to distant friends and family. It was simple to set up and the quality of the images is excellent. It is well made and I also like the adjustable mount which allows it to be easily attached on any desktop monitor, laptop screen or flat surface. The camera direction is very easy to adjust and the glass lens and retractable lens cover ensure that this web cam will last for years. It is wonderful to be able to speak "face to face" across the miles. I would highly recommend this product!

This product does what it claims to do. Easy set-up. Have had it for 30 days and no problems. Works with Vista Ultimate 32 and 64.Love the tracking feature. Sound doesn't pick up any background noise. Bought 2.

I use this on skype all the time to talk to the rest of my family around the country. It has an excellent built-in microphone and excellent picture quality. I really have no complaints about it.

I have an older computer and am not very computer savvy. I can get around the internet fairly well, but I'm not good with a lot of the extra things out there. A new friend asked me if I 'skyped'. I asked him what that was. As I have several friends who live in Europe and one in China, as well as those friends who live in the US but not close enough to visit regularly, I was thrilled at this opportunity.

I investigated my options and read the reviews. I was a little concerned about my ability to install it properly and have it work well enough for me to enjoy.

I received it quickly and as soon as I plugged it into the USB port, it pulled up the skype program and I was good to go! The picture quality isn't excellent, but it is pretty good and I am certainly able to really enjoy speaking and SEEING my friends. I think the internet line had more to do with the quality of the picture than the quality of the webcam.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to enjoy video calling to friends and family.

I bought this item for my parents to video chat with the program Skype. Great sound, great picture and easy enough for them to use.
HOWEVER!!! they run Windows Vista on their computer and for some reason the two DO NOT like each other! Vista tries to reject and uninstall the software and the picture is lost as a result or it just fails to work at all.

I don't know if mine was just a bad one, but everything worked easily and good but the picture was slightly wider than real life. The second thing I noticed, which happens to some Logitech webcams occasionally that have RightLight, is that the iris will lock up and show a black screen. To fix this, just wav a flashlight at the lens to trigger the iris open (have the software running, move the light close enough to white-out the screen and then farther away until it opens; a few seconds usually).

I actually havent used this product (bought it as a gift for a friend), but I own the non-deluxe version. I enjoyed the ease of use, the built in microphone, and the cool and interesting video bonus features involved in the product. Logitech makes a solid webcam, and this one just has more bells and whistles for the same price (actually cheaper)

We bought this webcam so our parents could see our son more often. It has pretty good video quality. overall not to hard to set up and get to work.

I got this for my girlfriend in 2009. It is still working great. The picture isn't amazing, but it is definitely better than the cheaper cameras. The features are nice, and it fits well on any desk, monitor or shelf. The cable is a bit short for a desktop in a desk, but it isn't terrible.

The mic works ok, though it generally has a ton of background noise and can be unbearable at times.
Get a headset or desk-mic or you'll be giving people headaches, but it is handy to have occasionally when you want to talk but you're walking around the room or something.

Overall it is worth it for a camera like this over anything cheaper so we can have decent conversations.

If you want perfect video quality, get something more pricey.

I've used a number of Logitech products and have been very happy with the output. The Logitech Quickcam Communication Deluxe is easy to install (it was a gift for my grandpa who is over 80 and he managed to install the camera himself), offers the quality promised, all for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this product.
