Logictech 4000 pro quickcam is a decent camera for home use. the picture quality is one that will satisfy. its fairly easy to install and.. frankly its way better than those VGA cameras out there that display very poorly when the place is dark or in low lighting conditions. this camera doesnt disappoint. still, if you can get the later models (5000 pro and up) do that BUT, if not - this camera will make you feel comfy about its quality.
the mic picks up fine, clarity is good. i actually use it and dont mind it. unlike other cameras i wasnt pleased with and parked (permanently), this one does its job well and gets used often.

A great poor man's alternative for introductory astro-photography use. Easily adapted, reasonable performance, and simple to use for this use.
