Bottom Line: Leave it to a company that makes great keyboards to make a great keyboard.
This is a great keyboard even if you *don't* consider that it connects effortlessly over bluetooth and has functions optimized for Android-based systems. It has a feel that is better than my IBM laptop and perhaps even better than the Logitech G11 I'm using to type this review. That it does and has all those other things is a bonus.
This is a sturdy device that weighs more than my tablet and takes up more space as well. However, I've used several of those folding, rolling, collapsing, mini, ultra-portable keyboards and while they are certainly convenient to carry around they're not all that great to use. When it's for a Palm Pilot (for example) just about any keyboard is better than no keyboard. However, for an external keyboard make sense it has to be better, ideally lots better than typing on the screen. This keyboard *is* that.
There are special keys for "jumping to" common functions such as email and a browser. Also, quite a few applications anticipate users might have a keyboard and provide convenient short cuts to make them more efficient.
That the case opens up to form an easel is a nice touch. However, most tablet owners already have a folding cover that does that. I use and really like the Acase Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 P7500 High Quality Premium Slim Leather Case Folio with built-in Stand for Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi Only (Black).
Oh, and the dirty little secret? It turns out the keyboard, but not all the special function keys, work just fine with my iPhone 4. In that case, the case to easel conversion turns out to be very useful.
BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. It was very easy to pair the keyboard with my Toshiba Thrive without reading any instructions. I just went to Settings on the tablet, enabled Blutooth, searched for devices, and entered the password on the keyboard that the tablet prompted me to enter.
The quality and the range of the keyboard are very good. The cover doubles as a stand, which is a good option unless you already have a tablet case that can be used as a stand. To conserve the battery life this keyboard has a mechanical power switch on top. There is also 'connect' button on the bottom. Two Duracell AAA batteries come preinstalled. The battery compartment is a little tight, so LSD rechargables (e.g. Eneloop) may or may not fit as they are normally slightly fatter...
If you use your tablet mostly for internet browsing, games, and multimedia, then this keyboard is unnecessary. However, if you type a lot on your tablet, an external keyboard such as this is the way to go. It makes typing faster and helps to reduce fingerprints on the screen dramatically.
Overall, this is a great product.

Likemany people, I've used Logitech products for many years. Some have been good, others not so good. Their keyboards are usually well made in my opinion. This keyboard is no exception. I'm typing this reiew on it right now, and it's much faster than any touchscreen keyboard. I'm personally not a fan of touchscreen keyboards, so this accessory is a must have for people like me, if you intend to do any significant amount of typing.
The keyboard paired up immediately with my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet. The keys are low profile but have good response. It also has directional keys and special function keys built into the number row at the top. The board is thin and very light, but feels well made and not fragile. Typing on it is a breeze.
The top is rounded and thicker, to provide a slight angle when the board is resting on a table, or your lap. This is also one of the shortcomings. There are no adjustments available for a steeper angle. Logitech should have built in some flip-down legs that fold into the chassis to provide that option. I suppose they didn't in order to maintain a very slim profile. The other thing that you should be aware of is the repeating speed of the delete key. The longer it's held down, the faster it deletes. Hold it down too long and you'll be erasing full lines very quickly. After doing that a few times, you'll quickly get in the habit of tapping the key rather than holding it down to correct typos. I don't know of any way to change the speed setting.
It's very portable and has a nice faux leather covered hard case/sleeve to carry it. It does not lock in, so be aware of this. The case opens up and turns into a stand (again, there is only one angle available.)
Despite any nitpicking about the shortomings, I highly recommend that tablet owners who want a physical keyboard, consider this one. It runs via bluetooth, so you're not limited to using it just with the tablet. It would make a fine addition to an HTPC given it's size an weight. However, it does lack a touchpad. So you're stuck with the cursor keys if you use it with a non-touchscreen deice. For the purpose it was created, this keyboard is a good piece of hardware.
