Nice slightly smaller size, good feel to the keyboard keys.

I love my full size logitech wave wireless keyboard, but there are many people that need a keyboard that takes up a small footprint and this does the job very well.

I also love that with Logitech you only have to plug in on USB receiver to your computer and can connect multiple devices to it, such as keyboard and mouse.

Color Name: Dark Silver Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
My Dell USB Keyboard acquired a couple of permanently jammed keys after several years of service. I loved the Dell, but couldn't pass up an opportunity to try this Logitech keyboard.

Notes: I don't game. My work requires a lot of typing, writing and editing.

Pros: This keyboard is compact and evenly shaped. It measures about 15 x 6 1/4 inches--21/4 inches shorter than my old keyboard lengthwise, but about 1 inch wider, depending on where I measure the Dell. The keys are, however, a very reasonable size. Some (such as the Insert and Delete keys, which I use a lot) are positioned slightly differently than on the Dell. But I think I'll soon get used to that.

This keyboard is almost noiseless when I press the keys.

Cons: Not a big deal, but the unifying USB device is so small, at first I worried that it had not been included in the package. The label used to prevent users from worrying about that dwarfs the device itself.

Don't matters: Logitech's marketing touts the "dark silver" color. If they hadn't told me, and I hadn't then looked closely, I'd have called it black. In any case, as long as my keyboard is a neutral color, I don't care whether it's beige, gray, dark silver, or black.

I've never felt any need to customize keys.

I've never used a wireless keyboard before. As I expected, it works just as well as the Dell that I plugged into my USB port. However, I don't see much use in any ability to move my keyboard 10 feet from my monitor (which another reviewer says is possible). If I did, I wouldn't be able to read the text on my monitor. Nor do I type with a keyboard in my lap.

Can't reviews: Durability and longevity. I just got the keyboard, but it looks sturdy enough.

Pro: Works fine with XP. Runs on easily replaced AA batteries. Has an on/off switch. Has storage compartment for the USB dongle. Keys like back-slash, esc, backspace are in their normal location and are OK in size. Although the delete and insert keys have been moved and reduced in size, the change is tolerable.

Con: Key action requires firm, deliberate typing. Low-profile space bar combined with relatively large front edge results in thumb frequently hitting the keyboard frame before the space bar is fully pressed. I don't recommend this keyboard for those who demand smooth, easy key action.

Although smaller than a full-sized keyboard, this is not a mini -- more like a midi. The low-profile keys, the on/off switch, and the storage spot for the USB dongle makes me think this keyboard is intended for cramming into a bag full of stuff for travel.

Color Name: Dark Silver Verified Purchase
I bought this keyboard because I needed something cheap and wireless to use with my upcoming computer build. I would have gone Bluetooth to avoid using a USB dongle, but that would have been about double the price and I'm short on cash now. Only owned and used the keyboard for about a week so far (mainly as a big media remote for my laptop), but thought I'd leave a review.

    Pros:
-Absolutely no setup required - plugged in the receiver in my Windows 7 64-bit laptop, turned on the keyboard when Windows found the drivers, and was able to use the keyboard and FN keys without a problem instantly
-Lightweight and slim/sleek design - I can easily put this on my lap when sitting up, on my stomach/chest when laying down, or just about anywhere and not be bothered by weight or size
-On/off switch as opposed to some always-on or press-a-key-to-turn-on keyboards I've seen - great way to save battery life, and make sure you don't accidentally start typing or something when you don't want to use it
-Nice set of FN keys, and a dedicated set of media controls (back/play/pause/forward and mute/volume down/volume up)
-Numbpad, at least half the reason I bought the keyboard
-Keys are smooth and responsive, and very quiet
-Logitech unifying receiver means being able to use any other devices that use said receiver, with only one plugged in. Also means you end up with a spare every time you buy another such Logitech product
-Safe way to store the tiny receiver - snaps into place in a designated slot next to the batteries

Cons (three minor complaints - not big enough to knock a star off):
    -Batteries are really tight.

Look out for it for $20 from the BEST competitor Buy.

    PROS:
-AES 128 encryption between keyboard and receiver
-unifying receiver with other logitech gear
    -great design, functional keys
-true slim and compact format with keypad and full sized board
    -very quiet keys
    -light
    -comfortable to use

    CONS:
    - arrow keys underneath shift, insert and delete above backspace. Takes a week to get used to, but it's fine now.

Definitely worth the $20! Hope it lasts.

I picked this up from the local bestbuy after a lot of searching and trial and error for my setup because of my unique requirements: should have a num pad, and dedicated arrow keys, yet be small enough to fit in my keyboard pull out with space left over for the mouse. My computer desk came with a very small keyboard holder, and is skewed to the right, so a larger, more normal sized keyboard does not work very well, because it crowds out the mouse.

I tried several other compact keyboard options, but they were all geared towards the HTPC market, so none offered a dedicated num pad (absolutely essential for working with spread sheets!), e.g. IOGEAR's GK trackball keyboard, which i love for my HTPC, but couldn't work with on my desk because of lack of num pad.

what i like about this logitech keyboard:
    a) very nice form factor (suits my needs as mentioned above)
    b) num pad
    c) dedicated arrow keys
    d) dedicated home/end/pageup/pagedown buttons (no need to fiddle with fn or alternate function keys)
    e) full row of function keys (f1-12)
    f) dedicated ins / del keys
    g) ctrl, win key, alt, arranged in that order on left and alt, fn, ctrl on right. i cannot stress how important this is when you're touch typing. I find it difficult to work with keyboards that place the fn key as the left most or where alt normally is
    h) caps lock indicator light right above the num pad
    i) dedicated on/off switch right above num pad, but nicely tucked away so that you won't accidentally toggle it while working
    j) volume control keys (up/ down/ mute)!
    g) installation with vista was a snap! plug in usb key, pull out yellow battery tab (nicely indicated arrow) and you're good to go. no kidding. 30 seconds or less.
