Of the many Logitech mouses, this is the one I like best. It's exactly the right size. It's big, but not huge. It fits very comfortably in my hand, and apparently, in everybody's hand. The transmitter is tiny; you can leave it in your laptop. It won't get in the way when you pack the computer in its case, even if it's a tightly fitting case. It works without any special software or programming, though software is supplied (I never use it). It has what you need without a lot of extra doodads, wheels, or buttons that I don't use and actually annoy me. I have had fancier mouses and hated them. I always return to this model.
It comes in more colors and designs than I can count and at least one of them is always on sale. If you aren't picky about the color, you can find what you need at a price you can afford. If you're picky, you can pay more and get something that will match whatever you want. This one tickled my fancy. It's a bit girly, but I'm a girl. I gave my husband the solid red one, which was okay with him and took this one, which he felt was a tad feminine for his taste. My granddaughter has a blue striped one. My son has a grey one with some sort of design. Other than the color on the casing, they are exactly the same and work precisely the way you want a mouse to work.
I love Logitech products. I have Logitech keyboards, mouses, speakers, and other accessories. They are universally well made, reasonably priced, and last forever. You can't ask for more.
I really liked the design of the mouse and it was less than $15, so I repurchased. This one works like a charm. The design is sleek and beautiful. What you can't tell from the picture is that the red suits are shimmery. It matches my glossy black Logitech keyboard. It works with the unifying receiver, which is a big plus for me - I have all Logitech stuff at two different locations (home and work), so when I bring my laptop I don't have to worry about peripherals or receivers - it works at both places. Great because my MacBook only has two ports.
And in true Logitech fashion, it works great. Tracks smoothly, and I like the size - I hate those tiny portable mice; they cramp my wrists. I do wish that the scroll wheel scrolled more smoothly, though. It has that clicking sensation, which I don't like. I use a mousepad with a wrist rest, but I also have another version of the same mouse that I bring with me in my bag, and I know that it works on a variety of surfaces.
