I'm feelin' these speakers...literally,

I had the same set of hand-me-down Boston Acoustics computer speakers for like 5 years, when I finally wrapped my foot around one of the cords and destroyed them.
My thought process was that I was willing to spend a little money, because I haven't spent any money on speakers for 5 years. I didn't want to go top of the line, and I don't really need satellite speakers, so I was looking for something powerful and reasonable. And powerful is what I got. I was looking at $30 speakers with like 20 watts...or $109 (when I bought them) speakers with 200 watt RMS. I'm glad I got 10x the watts for 3x the money. The first day I listened to the entire Bob Marley 'Catch a Fire' album at high volume, and it rattled my chest. I never realized what a bass masterpiece that album is. If all you're planning on is listening to your mp3's from your computer with earth-shattering bass, this is the speaker system for you. |
