5.0 out of 5 stars The Culture A.D. review
The straight to the point advertising and design agency review. For our agency Logo Lounge 2 is a excellent visual reference. It allows us to quickly "thin slice" the visual trends as well as give us in depth case studies. It's a hot source for inspiration that puts your head in the right space for designing logos that speak intelligently and conceptually to help with...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing sequel
Logo Lounge 1 is a must-have in my design library - I refer to it often. Unfortunately Logo Lounge 2 seems lackluster, uninspired, and disappointing. While it contains the same quantity of logos as the first book, the solutions are much less imaginative and the profile section at the beginning is too long and the designers profiled, and their work, are difficult to relate...

If you are a designer like myself, you will know just how hard it is to put a strong effective logo together that will stand the test of time well at least 10 years! Logo Lounge is a fantastic book to give creative sparks and ideas for your logos with half the book a selection of the best logos around at the time. The book is easy to read and follow and a must buy for any designer!

The book is structured well and filled with examples that get your own brainstorming activities off to a great start. I also really love the feature pages that delve into the development of specific logos. A classy, informative and useful book!

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate logo reference., September 15, 2005
By
As a designer, I'm always looking for reference when designing anything, especially logos and logotypes. This book and these series of books are the ultimate resource for me. I've never seen a book with more logos between it's covers than this. Very nice!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great series of books!, February 25, 2007
This review is from: LogoLounge 2: 2,000 International Identities by Leading Designers (Paperback)
I'm very impressed with the wide array and organization of this book (and the others in the series). Such great colors, and layout... everything just makes me want to study every last detail on every last page. I've bought the first two... and have added the third one to my wish list. If you want to be a good logo designer but experience "designer's block," this should get you over that hump. Thanks, Bill Gardner, and all the fabulous designers who were featured in the book!

Being a graphic designer, it is always nice to be able to have some reference books on different topics such as logos to look at for ideas and to get the inspiration from.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding idea generator, April 2, 2011

I purchased this and the first logo lounge mini for some idea generation for a logo project I was working on. I am a graphic designer who has been out of the business for quite awhile and my current library of logo/graphics type books was close to 20 years old. I just needed something quick to look at and scan through for some newer fresh ideas. Saw one of the original sized versions in a book store and really liked what I saw, unfortunately I just didn't like the price ($50 retail). Then I saw these mini versions here at Amazon and thought I'd give it a shot. These books worked perfectly, the pages and logos are smaller than the original logo lounge book versions but when scanning through logos for ideas this really doesn't make any difference as a good logo whether large or small should be easily identified. Granted these books and logos are a number of years old but they will still help generate ideas. For the price I think these are a great value. I'll be purchasing more of these great mini idea generators in the future.

3.0 out of 5 stars cheap books, cheap logos, April 5, 2010

Book is ok. small logos, not the most innovative. Basically you get what you pay for.
