Koffi's Best,
By cliff ogbuehi (Phoenix,AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Loi (Audio CD)
The music contained in this cd is a drug! Koffi is the king of rhumba/ndombolo soukouss. Where do I start, from the title track LOI to PHASUER, every song is arranged to showcase Koffi's deep baritone and the arrangements of Popolipo. Listen to the hit, MOKUWA and you'll understand why Koffi is incrediblly popular. Some tracks feature up to four solo singers with distinctly beautyful voices. If you like mid-tempo, seductive, heartwarming, wonderfully rythmic melodies, this is it.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Loi (Audio CD)
Loi is one of Koffi's best albums yet but there is also a dvd of it with all the songs from the album and you could get that too. You can't get it from Amazon so go to Manhatten were my dad usually buys his Dombolo dvd's at an Africam Music stand. They don't cost that much money so try your luck. Also if buy this dvd there are alot of hot video clips with some hot girls that can really shake.

The Best of Koffi,

I have been away from home (Zambia, Africa) for five years now. I had been looking for koffi's music for a long time and when i finally got my hands on Loi i was not disappointed. This album is definitely the best of koffi, if you are a fan of his music. I enjoyed all the songs on this album and did not regret buying a copy.

The best of Koffi,

I am Congolese and this album is the most memorable of all koffi's music I listened to so far. I haven't been following Koffi's new albums in the past 4 years; however,"loi" can be used as a work out and a relaxation session throught its songs.listening and dancing to this album always brings my country and family back to me.

A "10-STAR" MASTERPIECE!,

MICKO, MANOU, FONTAINE, LOI, MOTOMOLO, PAPITO, and SOS . . . ARE MASTERPIECES AS WELL AS THE REST . . . THOSE ARE JUST MY FAVORITES. THE MUSIC WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY. INSTRUMENTS AS WELL AS THE VOCALS. THE VOICES OF QUARTIER LATIN ARE HEAVENLY!and THE VIDEO!!!! IS A DOUBLE MASTERPIECE! THIS PARTICULAR GROUP WORKING WITH KOFFI ARE LONG GONE EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE GUYS FROM THE ORIGINAL QUATIER LATIN.. THE WOMEN DANCERS ON LOI ARE ALSO GONE. THIS WAS HIS BEST GROUP. A MATCH MADE BY GOD! KOFFI SHOULD HAVE NEVER LET THIS GROUP GO. HIS NEWER GROUPS DON'T HAVE THE CLASS, FINESSE AND STYLE OF THE LOI GROUP. HIS FORMER DANCERS AND THE ORIGINAL QUARTIER LATIN WERE MORE SEASONED AND RIGHTEOUS. MY INTENTION IS NOT TO PUT DOWN THE NEWER MEMBERS, THEY ARE TALENTED AND GIVE AN EXCITING SHOW. BUT IN MY OPINION, THEY CAN'T TOP THE ORIGINALS. THE LIVE AT O'LYMPIA IS ALSO PRICELESS! Darlene, New York, NY

Koffi's music is very nice. I would be glad if someone could send me an English version of Loi, I can't read the language that has been used in this CD but love the music so much that I am ready to learn some if there is help. Thank you
