I installed this product on a MacBook Pro with no problems or issues. I later sold the MacBook Pro, advertising that it had LoJack for Laptops installed. I sold the laptop and wound up buying another copy of LoJack for the purchaser as LoJack won't let you transfer the product. A real pain; they did walk me through the steps to uninstall it on the sold machine and install it on another computer I own. I found the customer support very helpful and empathetic.

I had this installed for 3 years without issue. However, after having a password issue with my account, I have received less than stellar support. Wait, that is not fair. To have received support, some effort must have been made. They have made none.

I've tried web support to no effect. I've tried the phone to no resolution. 877 number for Absolute told me to redial and choose another option. What option? They didn't know. Then someone told me to contact Digital River and called them, they referred me back to the folks that told me to call them. 90 minutes on the phone and I'm now submitting a dispute via my credit card company.

I would agree with another users comment. All their funds are put into marketing alone.

Unlike all or most the other antitheft software on the market, LoJack does not require you to trace or accost the perp. You simply inform your local police of the theft then LoJack and they take it from there. I have not installed it but as I understand it, LoJack sends a "location" signal everytime it is used and local police are alerted and LoJack returns the computer to you. It also scrambles personal data on the computer. I have read that it does not work overseas but do not know that for a fact.
