Pure Speed, December 3, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Lola Rennt (Audio CD)
There's a great film coming our way. "Lola rennt" (Lola runs) is a highspeed chase story set on a summer midday in Berlin. It is told form three different perspectives and is driven by a pumping techno soundtrack co-composed by the film's direct Tom Tykwer. The whole album is a pulsating electronic speed trip that owes as much to Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" as to the drummers of Miles Davis' electric phase and the trip hop phantasies of Portishead and Massive Attack. It got the Berlin techno groove down to a populist point that makes it bearable to a wider audience without betraying it's roots.

Kickin tracks Great movie to watch even in 2009!, November 27, 2009
This review is from: Lola Rennt (Audio CD)
Songs are great when toolin' down the road, the movie is fantastic- so get it on dvd or the Blu-ray - It moved to blu ray well. This film explores - what if's in a way that hollywood would never get it's mind around.
oh - while most of the song tracks have english - the film is in German with subtitles - it's great though - only way to watch the film ;-)

Extraordinary!!, March 19, 1999

This review is from: Lola Rennt (Audio CD)
Primero, la película es extraordinaria. Después, el CD que hace recordarla momento a momento. Desde Trainspotting no había escuchado un soundtrack que estuviera tan ligado a la película como este. Un triunfo !!

Running at high speed, April 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Lola Rennt (Audio CD)
This is one of those soundtracks that make the film a lot more interesting and valuable, providing the whole atmosphere of speed along with the dynamical images. One can virtually feel the "movement" of the body of Lola and the neccesity to run outside when the first beat of this excellent soundtrack knocks the head.
