This is a very solid come back albumm for Super Deluxe. It isn't their strongest work but still a good EP. I am still eagerly awaiting the full length album boys! All in all I think Lolita is a sweet taste of things yet to come from those cute boys of Super Deluxe. Certainly worth the $7 people. It is a must buy, one you can listen to over and over again and truly enjoy

I saw this band live in Minnesota back in the 90's. Their live show was incredible, but this cd is not. The singing reminds me of big bird.

The tight, creative, band that released Via Satellite in the 90's is back in action to bring us "Lolita EP". Upon first listen, I couldn't beleive my ears. Was this the same band??? Just to make sure I popped out the cd and it indeed said Super Deluxe on the disk but the magic within the CD was gone like a flannel shirt at a thrift store in Seattle. POOF! After listening to about 20 min. of what sounded like simple, predictable, rehashed 90's style rock gone bad, I wondered to myself what happened to the band that used to write such brilliant pop gems? What happened to the band that had the 2 tone jangly posie-esque guitar tones running over the top of that solidly tight and creatively savvy rythym section?? Where did the pop gems go?? Where are the crafty guitar solo's?? Not sure what's wrong with Super Deluxe, or what there intentions were but I would highly advise saving your money people. Just another band trying to emerge from the ashes and re-live the glory days of Seattle Grunge. Unfortunately, they didn't listen to Kurt Cobain when he said "It's better to burn out than to fade away".Save your money and buy Via Satellite instead. SAD.
