WOW!!!!!!,

Sheridan is the tuba player all other tuba players really want to be. They sit in the back of the orchestra thankful for a few notes of solo while the violins get to play real music. Sheridan actually does it better than most fiddles. He has technique and zest reminiscent of the great trumpeter Raphael Mendez. This guy really loves what he does and it shows! Buy this!

The cd was recommended to me by my niece(tuba player).I was very skeptical but the music was enlightening. Truly a must have cd for anyone who loves a tuba player. Sheridan plays that thing like a violin or a cello- I never knew that it was even possible to make a tuba such an expressive instrument. The best rendition of Danny Boy ever recorded!

Patrick Sheridan is awesome with his robust tone and expresiveness. I couldn't believe that what I was hearing was a tuba. Patrick makes the tuba sound like a solo violin or trumpet. Rich Ridenour contributes his wonderful piano abilty into a must have recording for the sudent of the tuba.

This CD was recommended to me by my tuba masterclass teacher at music camp. I was exciting about actually getting to hear a tuba player, so I went out and bought it, and one other tuba soloist CD. They both had 'the flight of the bumblebee on them' and I listend to them. Not only did sheridan play it better, it was more expressive, faster, and even my FATHER ( a definite non-instrumental kinda person) loved it. and the rest of the songs are no different. if you want to know the true potential of tubas, definitely buy a Pat Sheridan CD!

Whenever your practicing spirit starts to run low, Pat Sheridan will always be able to touch that low brass part of your heart. His sound is fabulous and his technique unmatched. The selections on the CD are fun to listen too and the playing is of the highest qualty. A must have in your low brass CD collection!
