4.0 out of 5 stars Fun little Toy Camera, Definitely Better than Lomo Fisheye 1
I love this little camera and particularly enjoy taking it out on sunny days.

Make sure you buy the Lomo Fisheye 2, NOT the fisheye 1, for these reasons:

The camera was cool while it lasted.
The film reeler broke a few months after i bought it.
This is not worth the money for me.

I love this little camera and particularly enjoy taking it out on sunny days.

Make sure you buy the Lomo Fisheye 2, NOT the fisheye 1, for these reasons:

- Fisheye 2 has a viewfinder (detachable, fits into the hot shoe), Fishy1 doesn't! Without a viewfinder, the oddball fisheye effect is terribly hard to predict. This is especially important for placing the horizon where you want it!

- Fisheye2 has a built-in flash AND a hot shoe that takes any big flash! Fishy1 has no flash. This matters because the camera has a set exposure f11 ish at 1/100 sec, only really useful in bright bright sun! Even with the built-in flash *and* a big hot shoe flash (with or without diffuser), indoor shots are terribly underexposed!

- Fisheye2 has not just a viewfinder that's easy to lose, but a lens cap. it's also very easy to lose! the lens cap is rubber that fits over/around the lens's opening. it's attached to a rubber wrist strap. The two are attached to the camera in a fragile way - tiny metal ring - and fall off easily. Good suggestion: get a lens cap leash from a camera store to keep the viewfinder tethered to the camera's little ring or you'll lose it pronto. might have to get creative with the metalwork to keep the cap/wrist strap attached as well.

Fisheye 2 takes 35mm film, which is awesome. Many lomo cameras only take 120 or other odd films. Film is pricy enough, might as well use a common type!

Excellent toy, fun way to use up leftover film. Very fun with funky old film. Good to use old slide film and cross-process it at local C41 photo lab if they'll let you - funky yellow and blue effects if you use the right film and the right process! careful, it might mess up lab's chemistry if you use wrong combination.
