I didn't think this was a great as some of the other reviewers, but I also didn't think it was as awful as some of the other reviewers. I thought it was perfectly decent. Without giving anything away, the story was enjoyable but it wasn't edge of my seat-'gotta know what happens next'. It was kind of predictable, and the ending just sort of fizzled out. There wasn't any kind of twist or big dramatic revelation, which I usually like. It keeps me coming back for more. There were a few (4 or 5) glaring typos that any editor or proofreader should have picked up (threw instead of through, there instead of their, 'oared a boat' instead of 'rowed a boat'), that took away from what I think of as a professionally published book. There were also some errors that a simple Google search could have solved, which I think one of the other reviewers may have mentioned. Such as, referring to the Prince as 'Your Majesty' and the Queen as 'Your Highness', when it should be the other way around. She said the character travelled south-west to Canterbury, when Canterbury is south-east of London. And there are no tropical islands in England. Employees don't live on the property of Buckingham Palace, some do however live at Windsor Castle. This, however could be brushed off as creative license. I may just be OCD about facts, but the lack of basic research into what the author was writing about kind lent it a sort of internet, fan fiction feel. Overall, taking everything into consideration, it's a nice easy read. Great for the beach, or in my case, a 9 hour flight! I do wish it was less expensive. I don't really feel like what I got was worth $16.

This book was so much fun to read. Yes, the plot is a little unrealistic (modern day fairy tale) and the Prince's (Heir to the Throne) ability to wander around town and just jump on the Tube in London was a little hard to stomach -- but the romance and the characters make it all worthwhile. The heroine is smart, well-educated, financially independent, and confident -- what a change from the typical chick-lit stories I read. The writing is excellent. Even though I have completed two other novels since putting this one down -- these characters remain fresh in my mind. The sex scenes in this novel are not graphic, so this is a book that mothers and daughters can both enjoy. It is not any less romantic for the lack of smut (don't get me wrong, I like the smutty chick lit, too).

Thoroughly Enjoyable "London Bound",

This review is from: London Bound: A Royal Misadventure (Paperback)
"London Bound" is a tremendously creative tale full if suspense, romance, believable characters, and witty humor. The thought of being incarcerated for murder (when you are innocent) in a foreign country is incredibly frightening and it is the hook that keeps the reader turning the pages. Yet the story continues in a lighthearted and often hilarious tone that is enjoyable to read, or bet yet, are completely absorbed into the heroine's world. The suspense returns at the end of the story so that the reader is unable to put down the book until that last page has been turned. It's an ending that I personally adored.Ms.Sheretko is a talented author with fresh ideas and a gift for creating a compelling story. "London Bound" is an entertaining 'must read'.

I loved London Bound! This book captivated me from the beginning. The idea of a modern day fairy tale is so cute. The characters are great and are very easy to relate too. The book shows English life, as well as what it might be like to live at Buckingham Palace. The murder was sad, as it no doubt should be, but the book still has somewhat of a "happy ending."I recieved the book in the mail and stayed up most of the night reading it. I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in about 5 hours, and I no doubt will read it again!

Glaring mistakes/ errors,

This story is just so unauthentic, it's ridiculous. The glaring mistakes are numerous. Calling the Prince "Your Majesty" when "Your Highness" was the correct term. Stating the character was getting ready to go out to dinner in London and then stating it was late in Detroit and her mother stayed up late to call her--when in actuality, if she were getting ready at any time in London it would have been anywhere from 11am to 2pm in Detroit. Taking the tube with a prince with no paparazzi around and having skate him around on a skateboard unnoticed. Then, there are instances of bumping into him in public and having no security ever and being attacked with a life to the face. Implausible. There are many more, I just can't be bothered to write them all. I don't understand how this was able to go to print and makes me believe anyone could be a writer. In short, the book was absolutely frustrating.

How anyone could say this book is boring must not have been reading the same book I was!!! This was a very fun, fast paced book with many surprises. The character descriptions make you feel like you are really seeing them and make them seem so real throughout the entire book. This is a book of entertaining fiction!! (Remember people this is FICTION!!) I hope to read more books by this author, this is her 2nd one and I've truly enjoyed them both!!

First off, I must say this is my first review on Amazon.com. Why? Nothing previously has inspired me to take the time to do a review. I received this book for Christmas and sat down yesterday to start reading it. I ended up reading the whole book in one sitting! This novel has all the elements of a great book: humor, intrigue, romance, mystery, fashion, foreign lands, intelligence and much more...Overall it is just a pleasure to read. My only wish is that Sharon Sheretko had more novels for me to read next!

I was ill and a friend of mine gave me a few fun chick lit books to read while I convalesced. London Bound immediately grabbed my attention. I felt an instant connection with the character Charlotte. I felt a part of the story and was really interested in her adventures. I did not want this story to end! I think it would make a very funny movie!
