Whenever I log into Amazon it gives me a list of songs, samplers or albums it suggests I review. I was amazed to find the mp3 download of this song has no reviews. Well it does now.
Released in 1979 when The Clash were still punk. The song became an anthem of the time. Strong vocals at times dominating other times harmonizing with the great guitar and drums. The opening rif sets the tone for the song and maintains it's strength throughout. This is a classic song featuring superior lyrics and musical backing to match. 3 minutes 19 seconds of quality songwriting and execution. No one will make a better version of this song than the guys who wrote and played it first. Purchase and download it now, keep it on your massive hard drive, don't lose it from your mp3 player. |
